اسلام آباد: (دنیا نیوز) چیف الیکشن کمشنر نے سیکریٹری بابر یعقوب کی مدت ملازمت میں توسیع کی منظوری دی، ان کی مدت ملازمت 31 اکتوبر کو ختم ہو رہی تھی۔ انکو تیسری بار توسیع ملی ہے۔

سیکریٹری الیکشن کمیشن کو مدت ملازمت میں 14ماہ توسیع مل گئی، مدت ملازمت میں توسیع کی منظوری چیف الیکشن کمشنر نے دی۔بتایا گیا ہے کہ ان کی مدت ملازمت 31 اکتوبر کو ختم ہو رہی تھی۔ یاد رہے کہ انکی مدت ملازمت میں تیسری مرتبہ توسیع کی گئی ہے۔​

Islamabad (October 16, 2018): Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Muhammad Raza on Tuesday extended Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Secretary Babar Yaqoob’s employment by 14 months.

Yaqoob’s current contract with the electoral watchdog was set to expire on October 31. However, weeks before he was to be out of contract, the CEC has granted him a contract extension.

An official notification of Yaqoob’s contract extension is expected to be issued today.

It is learnt that Babar Yaqoob contract has extended the third time.

Now he will make summary to Prime Minister for extension of Chief Election Commissioner. What a rotten system this is. Young people are not finding job but these babas don't feel satiation of over extensions.
Dear CJP! please call his extention into question under what merit he was given extension when unemployment's is at break neck speed and killing people.

Agreed..but I think according to laws in forming of EC..neither PM..nor President have the constitution rights to remove EC chairman or Sec.EC is protected by the emendment in consititution.You need 2/3 majority to change the procedure of EC appointment in both houses..NA and Senate..PTI only lodge reference in NA..
Only SC have the all power to convict EC chairman or Sec...Then for new Chairman Sitting Gov and Opposition leader can agree to appoint..that's is the whole gorakh dandha in EC and NAB..

Comments: ECP is Notrious to be one of the most Non Performing Department of Pakistan despite its highly paid Employees.

Extensions must stop as others dont get chance and these guys are not performing. Institutions are strenghtened when people leave when specified tenure ends. Let people get used to it.

Its contracts extensions should be revisited and intervened by Higher Authorities .
Everyone saw how its very expensive app stopped working when its was needed and ECP had paid lot of money for that cheap app from National Treasure.

His Employees could not block the corrupts from contesting elections and its is known to be well infulenced by head of the two Majors political Parties.

Imran khan should look into the matter and block these Non Performers job extensions.
This department needs a complete overhall.

The government cannot intervene but SC should intervene in this matter.
This kind of extended employment violates the previous decisions of SC.
CEC has to justify that why are they not hiring a new secretary according to the rules and after due selection process.
