All agree these type of confessional statements have zero legal substance.

What's more, statements from "waada maaf gawa" are considered the lowest from of evidence, usually only admitted by the judge if there is other corroborating evidence.
The Government lawyer (from Harvard Law School) himself said the fact the chain of custody is suspect (arrested in Chamman or Karachi?) and that detention was for above legal limits (5 years) makes this fellow a very weak witness to being with.

Basically, state has made a complete mockery of this case, nothing more than a media trial.

Interestingly our Interior Minister Ch. Bean has made no statement on Charsadda for two days, yet he can speak on this topic. Obvious who is in charge of this farce, and who is trying to make a joke of our criminal justice system.

Question:
Why is the criminal justice system being undermined with these ridiculous cases (Dr. Asim and Dr. Imran Farooq)?
Is it in preparation for other cases of corruption to come in the future, for bigger fish?
