American poles show a huge percentage if population is against war and wants out. Obama was selected on the party line an promise that soldiers will be called back. A majority of population was against war on Iraq. There are hundreds of example in India and in every other democratic country. No parliament reflects public sentiment completely but are bound to be more effected by public opinion then a dictator.
