Yahan aik aur quranic topic ka wazeh hona zruri hai. Science ke mutabik to zameen ghoomti hai aur mirza sb ne b wohi daleel di. But Quran k mutabik sun & moon revolves. Earth stationary hai.
I didnt read a out shams r.a but one thing is for sure, if sun revolves & smaller in size then whole discussion takes new turn.
Book ma b bad ma sun ke normal hone ka zikr hai so multan ki garmi wali bat logon ki bewaqufi hai q k sun to normal ho gya tbi. Logon ne aiwen hi misal bna di.

Regarding earth rotation in Qur'an, there is nowhere in Qur'an where it says that earth is stationary. Allah has created mountains and other means to make earth stable (earthquakes are very rare on this planet):
(Qur'an 50:7) وَالْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ
And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)-
اور ہم نے زمین کو بچھا دیا اوراس میں مضبوط ڈال دیے اور اس میں ہر قسم کی خوشنما چیزیں اگائیں
(Qur'an 36:40) لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنبَغِي لَهَا أَن تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا اللَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day.
They all float, each in an orbit.
نہ سورج کی مجال ہے ہ چاند کو جا پکڑے اور نہ رات ہی دن سے پہلے آ سکتی ہے اور ہر ایک ایک آسمان میں تیرتا پھرتا ہے
(Qur'an 39:5) خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ يُكَوِّرُ اللَّيْلَ عَلَى النَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ النَّهَارَ عَلَى اللَّيْلِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ۗ أَلَا هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّارُ
He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the Night overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night: He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His law): Each one follows a course for a time appointed. Is not He the Exalted in Power - He Who forgives again and again?
اس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو حکمت سے پیدا کیا وہ رات کو دن پر لپیٹ دیتا ہے اور دن کو رات پر لپیٹ دیتا ہے اور اس نے سورج اور چاند کو تابع کر دیا ہے ہر ایک وقت مقرر تک چل رہا ہے خبرادار! وہی غالب بخشنے والا ہے
The Arabic word "Kura كرة" means ball; the Quran used its verb "Yukawer يُكَوِّرُ" meaning to make into a ball. The Quran says that the overlapping of the night and the day makes a ball (sphere).
"ALL MOVE (Kullon Yajree
كُلٌّ يَجْرِي)" here the Quran is referring to ALL MOVING, not only the sun and moon but also Earth. In Arabic grammar there is difference between the singular (one), binary (two) and plural (three or more). The reference to binary is "Kulahuma Yajreean كلاهما يجريان" however the Quran said "Kullon yajree
كُلٌّ يَجْرِي" referring to the plural (three or more). Since the sun and moon are just two but the Quran refers to three or more then according to the Quran all the three move: sun, moon and Earth.
The Qur'an says that the earth has a diameter (Qur'an 55, 33)
(Qur'an 55:33) يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ
O assembly of jinn and men! If you have power to pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, then pass beyond (them)! But you will never be able to pass them, except with authority (from Allah)!
اے جنوں اور انسانوں کے گروہ اگر تم آسمانوں اور زمین کی حدود سے باہر نکل سکتے ہو تو نکل جاؤ تم بغیر زور کے نہ نکل سکو گے (اور وہ ہے نہیں)
Diameter in Arabic is Kutr قطر. Its plural is Aktar اقطار. Radii and diameters are properties of circles or spheres only. This conforms with the previous verse, to make into a ball [Yukawer يُكَوِّرُ].

According to above verse, Qur'an says that Allah Almighty spread the earth. The Qur'an used the words "وَالْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا", whose translation into Arabic grammar is to expand the surface area of earth during its creation. This does not prove at all that the Qur'an calls the earth smooth or Flat. For a Flat or smooth surface, there is an arabic word used "مسطح" and its verb is "سطح". But the Qur'an does not use any of these words. The Qur'an says that Allah Almighty expanded the earth, which means to expand the surface area of the round earth.
