I can't think of anything more dumb and more delusional Fawad Chaudry has ever done until today when he told us that 38% custom duty will be slapped on overseas Pakistanis bringing in more than one phone. Let's break this down a bit from a different point of view.

1. Sometimes people carry extra phone for their work.

2. That extra phone might be a gift for their mother, daughter, sister or other loved ones in Pakistan. How can you be morally so fucked up to tax someone's personal gift.

3. Even if OPs bring few phone to sale in local market, and they might make few thousands on each. What is big fucking deal? You have billions rupees real estate still untaxed or taxed at a very minimum rate. We never hear any crackdown over that.

4. Unlike import, No foreign exchange ever leaves Pakistan when OPs bring phone as they purchase them overseas with money from that country.

5. Quality product becomes available in Pakistan to fulfill the demand without being burden on our foreign exchange reserves. So This is not importing at all and shouldn't be treated as import. This is personal baggage and gifts.

6. When OPs visit Pakistan they spend tons of money here and their visit already help our tax collection and local economy. Benefit that we get from their visit is much more than few thousands we might collect from slapping inhumane custom duties.

7. Imran Khan always talk about promoting tourism. How the fuck will you promote and encourage someone to visit Pakistan when they have to deal with crap like this. We need to incentivize OPs more so they visit more often and bring those dollars, Euros, Pounds and Rials to spend in our local economy.

8. Phones are like toys, if you drop them they break and needs to be repurchased again. Such harsh taxation is unjustifiable to begin with.

Lastly, if you are really worried about tax collections, perhaps you need to grow some balls and start crack-down on real estate. Rich people invest in plots, make 30% profit in year and never pay a fucking dime. Real Estate prices are so high that even modern city like Istanbul has cheaper prices compared to Pakistan, because all the black and non-taxed money is parked in plots in housing societies.

Overseas Pakistanis are pride and backbone of this country's economy. From creation of National Anthem of this country all the way to Bhasha Dam, these OPs have been a blessing for our nation. Wake the fuck up and start incentivizing them instead of penalizing them like criminals every-time they come to visit Pakistan.

First of all implementing a tax is not a one person decision its a govt decision so if u wanna blame anyone then why target Fawad Ch only? Blame the whole govt.
2nd thing, there is nothing wrong with this tax, all the countries have taxes and custom duty on electronics n gadgets that u bring in the country. If someone is bringing it as a gift then pay ur tax on that gift. Breaking of a cell phone or losing it r not really acceptable reasons for bringing more then 1 phone it can happen to anything so do u bring 2 of everything when u visit Pak?
3rd thing, wats acceptable to overseas Pakistanis should b left to them to decide. I m an overSeas Pakistani n i have absolutely no problem on paying tax if i want to carry a second n third phone. My family back home wants phones n if i wanna gift them i will pay taxes. If i bring phone from outside u know who is making money on that? The country i bought the phone from, wat is Pak getting where phone will b actually used? There r local shops for phones n i damage their business when i take 5 phones from here for my 5 family members. N trust me custom duty n tax does not stop anybody from visiting Pak lol. Wat stops us is the bribe, harrassment, insecurity and messed up system so if some tax can help my govt fix that i dont have a problem in paying. After all phones r a leisure not a basic necessity.
4th thing, u cannot ignore to fix one thing just because another thing is not fixed. According to u if real state should b taxed does it mean take away tax from everything else till real state is taxed? Wont they cry just like u if they r taxed but electronic businesses r not? Things gotta start somewhere this is just childish when u say why us first why not them.
N by the way these taxes r on new n packed phones so if u carry a personal n a work phone there is no tax.

That is not true.
First of all, Aleema Khan is not proven to be a thief as yet so no one should call her a thief.
Secondly many government spoke persons said on media that she will be charged for money laundering if the evidence is there. Now is it not enough?

I visited a University few months back, and asked in a classroom full of students if and who has the smart phone and who doesn't. Over 40% still didn't have a smartphone in year 2018.

This is because of piece of shit ignorant people like you who support and dumb governments who impose evil taxation and makes it harder and harder for next generation to pick up the pace and be able to compete with the rest of the world.

In year 2018, you must have the latest technology and gadgets for your youth rather than giving tax breaks to haramkhorz who are more worried about doubling their money in real estate without lifting a single finger. It is evil to leave those harameez untaxed and slap the burden on youth and their parents.
