Yesterday I made a thread about calculating your popularity score on Siasat.pk and I got an amazing response on that thread with more than 90 comments. If you don't know which thread I'm talking about then please click here to see the thread. This is what I expected as I think we are mostly males on this forum and males are usually quite competitive.

Anyway, a lot of people asked me if I can calculate their popularity score... so I did just that. Some gave me IDs of people they thought are Indian trolls and speak against Pakistan and some gave me IDs of people who they think are Pro-Pakistan... I now have compiled the result of all those IDs.

If you would like to see your name added to the popularity list, like this thread.

To simply explain how popularity score work, please see example below.

For 100 posts and 50 likes -- Popularity Score = 0.5000
For 100 posts and 100 likes -- Popularity Score = 1
For 100 posts and 150 likes -- Popularity Score = 1.5000

I tried to embed the code of this visualisation but unfortunately Siasat.pk doesn't have any feature that allows it. Adeel can you please look into this?

The most popular user on siasat.pk I found is vvaqar

My own rank is 4th.

When you open the above link you will find this filter you can interact with:

Through this filter you can select users who have so far posted less than 500 messages, 500 to 1000 messages and more than 1000 messages.

Just for my understanding, if the criteria applied as informed above then my score
Messages 180
Likes 85
Score 85/180 = 0.47
but I cant see myself in the group of <500 whereas someone with 0.1 and 0.05 is showing.

can you explain please

You are right - I didn't add yoru name but if you open the link again you should be able to see your name.

Even im finding some discrepancy with due respect, if u allow me to elaborate. Although u did good job for Mr. Adeel. However sometime a single message may get likes of 25+ so it didn't fit tht biz case as ur referring of Msgs vs likes. Take example of this vvqar. He joined in 2018 i believe and is on top of the list :cool::cool::cool:

I think like is not a criteria . Chamchas mostly gets more likes by rest of Chamchas. Same is true for dumbs, dumbs giving likes to dumbs !

it does work. If a post has received a lot of likes it just means it's a very popular point of view.
I also don't get how vvaqar got so many likes... Adeel can you confirm he got correct likes on this forum?

Added your name to the list... the fact that people didn't like your post shows that it might not be a popular opinion.. but yes if they can add dislike button then we can compare how many likes and dislikes you received etc...
