Was Prophet Mohammad From Makkah(Mecca)?

Quranic reference that the Prophet Mohammad was not from Makkah or Mecca.

Some excerpts from the book "Sense and Sensibility in Islam. "There is physical evidence that the Arabic language, as revealed in the Scriptures, is a product of the Nabataeans who were dominant in the Jordan/Palestine area.• Mecca (in Saudi Arabia) cannot be found on any ancient trade map or recorded as a center for pilgrimage or major religious activity before the seventh century CE.37:133-138 And certainly, Lot was one of the messengers; when We saved him and all his people, except the incapable ones among those lagging (some of Lot’s people tarried); then, We “destroyed” the rest (who didn’t depart); and you (Oh! Prophet), pass by their ruins in the morning; and in the night. Do you not understand?”Patricia Crone was aware of this verse, but many “Muslims” are not.
The part where it states: “you pass by their ruins in the morning and in the night.” What about the one that states “not very far from you”? Distances in those days were a journey, but for God to say “not very far from you”(see below) implies a destination quite close, otherwise, how could the Prophet pass by morning and evening?11:89“And, O my people, let not your dispute with me drive you into what befell the people of Noah, or the people of Hud or the people of Saleh: and (note that) the people of Lot lived not very far from you!” a verse from the Quran which does give room for a lot of thought. The verse is depicted below: The picture that we get from these verses is that, as Crone has indicated, the Prophet of Arabia originated from a region in northwest Arabia. Exactly where we are not certain, but quite close to the region of the Dead Sea in what is Jordan today.
The region inhabited by Shoaib’s people extended from what is known today as the Gulf of Aqabah to the mountains of Moab, east of the Dead Sea, in the vicinity of where Sodom and Gomorrah were situated. The word biba’id, meaning “not very far” from you, is pretty relative when you think of distances in those days. The intent was that it wasn’t far. This might suggest that Prophet Muhammad (the praised one) lived in the vicinity of that region. Well, it seems to prove that Patricia Crone is on the right track.
What do we make of this verse? Are we just to ignore it and continue with our tunnel vision of what we have been “fed” with all these centuries without questioning? That would certainly not be what Allah wants us to do as rational, thinking human beings whom He created.

The majority of the blind followers, so-called Muslims, will still defend that the Prophet Mohammad was from Makkah, even though it is clear from the Quranic verses above.

Your average reader at this forum doesnt have the sense to swallow this ...this is something you would be better off talk about on reddit.
Personally, I have been convnced for a long time that Bakkah was the actual Mekkah. The historical narratives of olives, fruits, proximity to trade is just not possible in present day Mekkah.
The Kaaba is a uniquitous structure which is found all over Arabia. The respect of Kaaba is due to Hajr-e-Aswad and not because of the cuboid structure.
I just find it comical that what if this theory is indeed true....all this commercial religious tourism by a trillion people and its all ends up being a wrong number:-)

The question arises: If Prophet Mohammad was not from Makkah, where does the Kaaba come from?
I'm not saying that they are 100% correct, but as per historians, there was no city of Makkah on the trade route.

I think...again I am no expert....could it be that it is just an invented tourist spot.....fashioned on cubioid structures which are still found in Arabia from primitive times....even if it the one and only, the structure has been razed and re-built numerous times by forces of nature and armies.

whats your beef with our Prophet man?

do you even consider him as Prophet?
These Pervaizi Qadiyanis's have an issue with the status of Prophet SAW. They want to bring down the status of خاتم النبيين. It makes them easy to pave way for a new prophet - a kazzab/ multiple kazzab that they believe in.

This takes them away not only from the religion of Prophet SAW but also the ummah of Ibrahim AS.

When they target Kaaba, they're targeting ALL the prophets that come from the progeny of Ibrahim AS.

Well theoretically it's possible but what I see as an issue is the lack of any real documentary evidence to say it could be Jordan. Its true that before the Quran there wasn't much writing done but it was none the less done and soon after the revelation of the Quran writing became more popular, and there are all sorts of books discussing all sorts of things, discussing and debating smallest of the things, criticizing each other etc etc but there is no mention whatsoever of Mecca being somewhere else.

Saudi Arabia, is littered with inscriptions and wall paintings especially along pilgrimage and trade routes, which include prayers or invocations (e.g., "Bismillah", "Allahu Akbar"), Mention names and dates of individuals who passed by or camped there, reflect religious identity, confirming they were Muslims.

Earliest know one is in Al Ula not too far from Medina says "I, Zuhayr, wrote at the time when Umar died in the year twenty-four." So that's 24 hijri, just 12 years since the Prophet's death.

So in a nutshell while it is possible that Mecca could be somewhere else, but for me the lack of documentary evidence from among the 1000s of books written by early Muslims fails to even hint to this make me not believe in it.

Another fact would be to literally "reroute" 1000s of Muslims from instead going to Jordan, to far off hot desert mountains much much further away would be a monumental almost impossible task back in those time.

Also another fact is why? And if it was to be shifted, shift it to somewhere more hospitable, with better infrastructure, better weather and more accommodating to expected larger crowds if power and money was the motive. Why move it across a vast desert and settle it down in a hot barren mountainous area in the middle of nowhere, just reaching there in those times was not an easy task.

Dan Gibson and Patricia Crone at best had circumstantial evidence at best. More of a theory at the moment. And they or anyone else provides no real theory as to why would Mecca be shifted and that too to such an inhospitable place.

Gibson says an earthquake destroyed Petra, although there is evidence of a major earthquake, but historical evidence says Petra continued to survive 2 to 300 years after it.

Such big events happening, a city gets wiped out by earthquakes, the entire center of the Muslim world shifts from Jordan to Hijaz and yet no one even seems to mention this in passing?

So like I said theoretically possible, but no real evidence to support it

they literally have no substance in their absurd theories
to an ordinary muslim like myself and many others, it does not matter whether Prophet was from mecca or not
i dont get what point he is trying to make here

They're fishing with random content. For them whichever sticks with a layman.

Makes sense or not it doesn't matter for them in these desperate times.

Why not? What's your rationality?

Is Makkah not on the path from Yemen to Syria where the trade routes used to take?

Makes no sense.

When Ibrahim AS was asked by Allah to raise Kaaba back up from foundations where's the mention of Hajr Aswad there in Quran if Hajr Aswad was that critical?

وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ ٱلْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ ٱلْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَـٰعِيلُ
And [mention] when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House (Surah Al Baqarah Ayah 127)

And FYI there's no mention of Hajr Aswad in Quran either.

37:133-138 And certainly, Lot was one of the messengers; when We saved him and all his people, except the incapable ones among those lagging (some of Lot’s people tarried); then, We “destroyed” the rest (who didn’t depart); and you (Oh!
