Imran Khan had a meeting with Overseas Pakistanis and appointed Mr. Zulfi Bukhari as an advisor. Since PTI is in office for 50 days only , i would like to request someone to pass on this message to them:
Kuwait : Visa ban (all types including work and visit) on Pakistanis from last 10 years and Kuwait is not interested in lifting it. Kuwait officials deny this ban and at but do not issue visas. The visa is denied to Pakistanis even if applied from Europe.
Bahrain: From last two months, Bahrain has adopted the Kuwait style ban. Their officials deny that there is a ban but they are not issuing visas also.
United Kingdom: They decline almost 70%+ applications received in Pakistan. With high visa cost they make money from this practice. Like China , Pakistan should impose a regulation that the cost has to be reimbursed in case visa application is declined.
Singapore: Very embarrassing, if a Pakistani doesn't know resident in Singapore almost impossible to visit the country.
Jordan: They do give visas to everyone , but for Pakistanis Ministry of Interior approval is required. Their officials claims that it was imposed some 15 years ago as temporary measure because of Afghanistan , but never lifted.
China: Very strict regulations obtaining visas, the visa success rate is less than 60% (both tourist and business)
Russia : From Soviet Union times the strict visa regulations are in place. Pakistani govt should request them normalizing it since they are not USSR anymore.
Georgia , Bulgaria, Belarus, Albania are states where Pakistan can approach to get visa free access, as many countries did recently.
Two reasons countries are reluctant issuing visas and giving On-arrival visa facility to Pakistanis:
1. Security threat, authorities have been found issuing passports to Afghanis (Talibans) and Iranians (accusation by Bahrain and Kuwait). Millions of non-Pakistanis have been found carrying NIC of Pakistan.
2. Drugs Narcotics : FIA , PIA and CAA jointly running this business. GCC countries on weely basis captures Pakistanis carrying illegal drugs. The issue was highlighted by Dubai ex police chief and a parliament member in Kuwait.
Things to do:
FIA staff needs to be replaced with honest and better looking; who must have good communication skills.
X ray machines should be installed for checking.
Flights should be checked (especially PIA flights) separately by a private security company. Many innocents are in jails of GCC and Europe just because of corrupt practices of FIA, CAA and PIA.
Visa checking machines should be installed. And embassies are asked to share visa information with FIA. Pakistani travelling on fake visas to Europe always get captured in Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi (they always pass Pakistani immigration).
Privatize CAA and PIA immediately ; the only way to stop the gang. The union leaders are also involved according to some honest people in PIA.
