UK to Pakistan (Landline + Mobile) : 1p/min (require sim and mobile phone)
DELIGHT MOBILE SIM [I personally use it. Call quality is superb. They work on T-mobile & Orange signals.]

Canda to Pakistan (Landline + Mobile) : UNLIMITED* $14.99 for 3 months, $29.99/mo thereafter. Bills do not go higher than $31. (*fair usage policy include 3000 minutes per month, excluding vonage-2-vonage) (require DSL or Cable internet)
VONAGE WORLD CANADA plan (which include Pakistan landline & mobile) (include 60 countries worldwide, Unlimited mobile calls included to 15 countries)
[We do three way calling in Pakistan. My brother (in Canada using VWC), me (in UK using Vonage Mobile App) and our family (in Pakistan using PTCL Landline or any mobile phone network). ]

Skype is always the best option when going for free calling over Internet.

Give a Fixed Skype Phone with PSTN option (which does not require PC) or Any Compatible phone with Skype (you do need Wireless Router or Data Connection), to your family in Pakistan and add Ring2Me (free) numbers with your skype ID. Then call unlimited (however it does require 24/7 internet connection in Pakistan, which is in scarcity at the moment. A UPS solution can fix this.)

I have Netgear SPH200D Skype phone back home in Pakistan and use ZTE S2x Skypephone (with always ON 3G skype connection) to call home unlimited. My internet is always ON (with help of UPS, however when calling over mobile or landline, I use Delight Mobile sim with 5 topup giving me 500 minutes)

Used Vopium, but call quality was so poor that I had to ask for my money back.

I sent a belkin desktop skype phone to pakistan and it worked very well but, phone broke and belkin doesn't sale this model any more..
Second problem is internet I had Worldcall but, they had issue with housing authority and authority stopped Worldcall broadband in my area and now Wateeen also have same issue..

- Get over belkin and choose another model. RTX is very popular in UK.
- You will need an always ON DSL broadband. Wateen require login after certain period of inactivity, thus I do not recommend it. PTCL is only blocking SIP, not skype ... so should work fine.
