Food safety officers continue to take strong measures against those restaurants which failed to provide hygienic food and clean environment to the citizens of Lahore. The Food Authority, in Lahore, sealed famous restaurants as they botched to live up to the criteria set by the law.
In the Johar Town, Al-Muhammadi Nihari has been sealed while the famous Sardar Fish has not only been sealed but also fined Rs 25,000 by the authorities.
In addition to that the Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif, has directed the relevant authorities to apprehend those butchers who are involved in the sale of infected meat. In the aforesaid context 10 butchers have been arrested and FIR are launched against them.The Punjab government robust measures against food parlors, restaurants and butchers, which are found guilty of providing un-healthy food and meat to the metropolitans, have been greatly appreciated by the people. During the last month many famous food restaurants have been sealed and fined. Different departments in Punjab are pro-active against those are involved in the selling unhealthy food commodities.
