Amir Liaqat has been brought back just before Ramadan because his show had huge ratings in sehr,iftar and on Layltul Qadr where he went to the heights of drama baazi and did tearful duas as if he was the Imam-e-Ka'ba!

As we know our women are gullible fools who fall for such dramatics (sorry ladies but its true that women drive the business of aamils/pirs and najoomis) and that shoots up the ratings. The more the drama, the more gullible idiots fall for it.

Geo found out that despite replacing him with big names like Junaid Jamshed, the ratings were not the same becuase of the lack of drama, so to bring back the big bucks before someone else snapped up Amir Liaquat, they rolle out the red carpet and brought back the dramay baz to capture the coveted spots of TV programming in Ramadan.

Now before cursing Geo TV or Jew TV or whatever you want to call it, remember that the market is driven by demand and at the end of the day it is our households that tune in to this dramay-baz that makes him so popular and marketable.

If we stop tuning in to his bullsh*t and stop our womenfolk from doing the same, he will no longer be a crowd puller and we can all be saved from seeing his snooty face on TV.

While Buchas resignation dominated trends in Pakistan for her resignation and refusal to do her show, purportedly in protest of Geos rehiring of Dr Aamir Liaquat (read: Delusion, denial and Dr Liaquat), Zehras resignation rumor focused on her exit as a protest against the recently staged show featuring Malik Riaz, Mubasher Lucman and Mehar Bukhari. TV anchor Maria Memon tweeted that she filled in for Sana Bucha on June 30, adding weight to the rumour.

While many took the time to laud Bucha for a principled stand, many others questioned whether both resignations were just temporary stunts.

I remember last time he was doing his dramazy baazi my elder sister switched on the TV to listen to him and join in prayer. I couldnt help but laugh every time Amir Liaqaut would let out his fake wails of humility and his 'gigirahat' to God. My cousin and me raised such a ruckus with our laughtere and fun making of this dramay baaz that the ladies had to switch the channel because they were also laughing at him in the end.


I dont think he will be watched again in our house! ;)
