Tourist bus service to Naran resumes

Rawalpindi: To facilitate foreign and Pakistani tourists visiting Kaghan Valley, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has restarted its daily air-conditioned bus service Rawalpindi to Naran from June 1, says a press release here on Wednesday. The Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

The bus service would start from Flashmans Hotel, Saddar daily at 09:00 am and would reach at 5:00 pm at the PTDC Motel Naran. Similarly, the return bus would start from Naran at 9:00 am and would arrive Rawalpindi at 05:00 pm. One way fare has been fixed at Rs.1,500 per person and there would be 50 per cent discount for children.

PTDC Motel in Naran has already been opened since May 15. The resort has over 60 rooms, huts and cottages spread over a vast area by the side of river Kunhar. The PTDC is also offering fixed date departure package tours to Kaghan, Swat, Gilgit Hunza, Skardu and Azad Kashmir. Advance booking for the bus service accommodation and package tours is being offered by the PTDC Rawalpindi office through phone number 051-9272017-18.

Anyone experienced it? or somebody can guide economical and safe tour for couple to naran kaghan.

2 things u need keep in your before planning
1...From ( june to mid july ) its not the best place where u want to take your family...because it has gone over crowded for the past 3 years or so....
2nd... Do not drive around with loose grip Tyre,s from balakot upwards because roads r a little there...
Beside this its a place to be ....
This time Ramandan is a plus point to have peace inside and outside....

I remember taking a bus from Abottabad to Kaghan with goats inside and hay on top of the bus and from Kaghan hitching a ride in the back of a PWD pickup truck to Naran. But that was eons ago.

I have visited Kaghan Valley after my MBA in 2009 with my friends and it was such a nice experience, would love to visit again when I will come back in Pakistan.

It is very safe to go to Naran.

The bus leaves everyone morning at 0900 from Flashman's Hotel Rawalpindi.
