Its a great idea but i think there shall be several issues when people start adopting this model. Just like on bed, there should be bedsheets that should be changed every now and then. I believe there was no bedsheets on them. if we put bedsheets, then we might not be able to close them properly.Then again, we in Pakistan believe to put mattresses & other stuff out for a while in sunlight. But they are fixed.

I am saying that there shall be certain challenges for adopting this model.Despite the fact that it is a great idea but still it would be hard for this generation to adopt this idea.

Your points are well taken.
I think the bedsheets are Fitted sheets you should be able to take them off and wash them. Also there seems to a way that you could take the mattress off the bed and attach it the board again.
