I like this show. Najam Sethi's analyses are good and this is one of the few talk shows that don't cause you an immediate severe headache.
Thank you mr.Sethi you did a very good job, rana sanaullah did try to dodge your question for wealth tax .I like to empasize in a more detail that why we have to beg these corrupt and filthy rich people for tax , pak should have a municipality which should collect the property taxes on basis of market value,provincial govt should collect the sales tax , NFC award and gst for the federal govt.It comes to three kind of govt who will look after the interest of the people.In the west all the rich or poor people are treated the same when it comes to income and property tax.Person have a million dollar house, he will be paying property tax on million dollar, there is no favour at all to any one thats why income and propety taxes are collected on fair basis even PM and ministers dont have the guts to say anything about it,there is a law which goes against them if they interfere.If someone dont agree with their property assessment ,they can file an appeal,thats it but in pakistan no one like to pay income or property tax.Property taxes should be on permanent bases.In the west,the property is assessed every three years and they give the figures that this property will increase in value that much in each year and taxes will be that much,very simple.In pakistan ,the people sitting in parliament or assemblies are rich and selfish ,dont want the legislation to pass on these matters.Punjab CM should set an example by increasing the property taxes from his house first and then let the law take its course but for this ,you need a will power which they dont have.
