I don't know all of it but here is what I have understood from all the talk shows.
pmln had not started the movement or wished to apoint the cheif justice infact they wished otherwise (wikileaks proof, they did not even want that).
Othyer partes joined so did pmln (when they saw soooooo much public support) plus other parties blame pmln for hijacking the movement (pmln had better public support or sympathy at that time because of musharaff i think)
apart from CJ there is still corruption in most of the rest of the courts specially in Punjab which is pmln's strong hold, where this party takes stay orders very successfully and is doing so in last so many years,
But there is a biggest problem here, the biggest corruption is the money laundering, use of black market, making policies and use the national institutes to enhance one's wealth, and Shareef family did the best of it. shahbaz shareef's son had PROUDLY said in one of the programme how they keep monopolising so many businesses and they wish to do more poultry, sugar, flour, cement and many more (every business they were in saw crises of stock through hording and then huge rise in prices).
SC cannot do anything unless there is a law against these things and shareef's would do anything to stay in power one way or other to stop any legislation on this regard. and these kind of corruption is very hard to prove as compared to ppp corruption.
Did he file the case for NRO? i'm not sure for that.
yes he did do memo case, I saw that happening and it was ofcourse for political point scoring as always, if he had not done that army was going to do something about it anyway, anyway this memo case was highlighted in IK's speach first, so he can't take all the credit. and why should he take the credit for anything anyway when shahbaz shareef had done the same thing himself in 1998 or 99, I think that was one of the reason why musharaff took over.
So on practical grounds these ghundas are keeping their record relatively better to ensure that they MUST come in power again, he is hungry for it man!!
