There is a difference between right to be critical of the army and make routine to bash the army. Most of the people supported your stance against MQM but now if you are allowing the thread starter to express anything thing then you should allow Altaf Hussain to say any thing against any body. You can not make laws and rules as you wish. This forum is a Pakistani forum and it has to be under constitutions like it or not. I was against Altaf Hussain wording at that time and will be against anyone who uses such language as MQM chief did.

This forum is about Pakistani politics so like all people this forum are obliged to work under the constitution of Pakistan. Article 63 G of the constitution consider it treason to talk against Army. So if you want to talk against Army then first change the constitution and if you can then feel free to bash the Army. If not then feel free to join any other Indian or Anti Pakistani forum.

You asked the question that why can anyone talk against ministers, prime ministers. Then firstly you can not talk against Judiciary because if someone reported any post against Judiciary then the Admins can be under serious trouble. Talking against Judiciary is not clear in the constitution but it is defined by the judiciary itself. Secondly change the consititution and add the clause that no body can talk against prime minsters, president and ministers then no body will.

Whether it applies or not, we and you can talk but not decide. It is applied in law but who will apply constitution on the Armed forces? Politicians na? So why don't politicians make these armed personal accountable? Now whose incompetency is this? You can write 2000 words article that this should be done and this should be not but how useful is that? We and you elect the ministers not to work for country but to work for ourselves. Have you questioned your local MNA, MPA or head of the political party that why don't he make army personal accountable for any wrong doing? Tell truth. Can you ask the head of any political party this question? Are you allowed to do so? The answer is big NO. So janab a civil dictatorship can never end the army dictatorship. When their is a leader in Pakistan with true democracy then only then you will have the right to take action anyone you want. First make the law supreme then make people accountable.

I also failed to understand the nature and attitude of few people. They are against Taliban and on the other side they are against Army. Army should be supported no matter what if the war against Taliban has to be won. So this a question to these people that do you know who are you with? You are with Taliban or Amy? If you say none then how this can be true and if it is true then then who have a choice? In war time you have to neglect many mistakes done by Army and have to wait for the right time. You all support political parties of your choice who appoint Army chiefs, ISI chiefs so if you have problem with these chiefs then why don't you grab your leaders from their neck. If they have appointed bad people then still the political leaders have to answer. I think this is the upper limit to the hypocrisy.

I am one of those people and I will tell you why

1. It is no surprise we are against Taliban.. they are terrorists. period.

2. We are not against Army such that Army should be abolished (like the Taliban), but Army should be overhauled. It has its mistakes. Bad apples if you call them. And they are increasing.
E.g. Corruption (unfortunately, it is in ALL our society and departments, so army is not alone). I am against BLINDLY supporting army. They can't kill innocents. They can't be above the law. If they do the same things Taliban do, what's the difference? No matter what, they should take the higher ground and follow the LAW. Hypocrisy is when UPHOLDERS OF LAW BREAK THE LAW.

Also, DOUBLE GAME & Propaganda: On one hand army says America is bad. It wants to create an impression US is supporting TTP etc.. WHY do we beg (including Army. most of the dollars go to them in coalition support), be their allies, give them logistics, drone bases etc
AT THE SAME TIME, many people in ISI support the so called "good" taliban!!! (esp the deobandi's in the army). In my view, there is no "good" taliban. Because they ALL ARE THE SAME (proven many times).. so PLS stop this confusion and get focused!

Isn't it funny when people like Musharraf say Taliban are against the constitution?
