Prime Minister in-waiting Imran Khan’s dogs are getting their own Wikipedia page, the encyclopedia’s help desk confirmed.
“Wikipedia articles cover notable topics. If a topic or subject receives significant coverage in reliable secondary sources (independent of the subject) such as newspapers, then the topic/subject is considered notable and can have its standalone entry on Wikipedia,” Saqib of Wikipedia’s help desk told The Express Tribune.

Last year, the online encyclopedia giant deleted the Wikipedia profiles of Bakhtawar and Asifa Bhutto-Zardari on the account that “notability is not inherited.” However, Imran’s pets have gathered much attention on reliable sources.

“Imran’s pet dogs attracted press attention over a sufficiently significant period of time, so I think we can have a page on them, We already have several pages on United States presidential pets,” Saqib added. However, the page lacks basic information about the hounds such as their birth dates, behaviour types or biological details, but “the dogs will attract more media attention after Imran assumes the high office and more information will surely pour in.”

Earlier, when Bakhtawar’s page was deleted, it violated three policies of Wikimedia; copy paste, neutrality and primary source. Most of the information on the page wasn’t gathered on her merits but on the merits of the Bhutto family, said the page.“The subject is often in the news but there is no in-depth coverage on her. She is not a elected politician. She doesn’t have a notable career either,” a comment on the delete page said.

Sheru
In 2011, Pervez Musharraf gifted a puppy to Imran Khan before his self-imposed exile. The puppy was born at the Musharraf’s farmhouse.[12] Reham Khan claimed he was Sheru[13] an Alsatian.[11] Sheru means 'lion'.[13]

In April 2018, media reports emerged that Imran Khan has removed Sheru from his Bani Gala house on the advice of his third wife Bushra Maneka.[14] Imran Khan in a press conference denied the media reports and said Sheru had died three to four years ago.[6][15]

Sherni
Sherni was a Kuchi dog,[13] who died from dehydration while living at Khan's Bani Gala house.[11] Sherni means 'Lioness'.[13]

Motu
Motu is an offspring of Sheru[11] and Khan's late Kuchi breed, Sherni.[13] As of April 2018, Motu was living in Imran Khan's Bani Gala house.[6][15] Motu literally translates to 'fatty'.[13]

Pidu
Pidu's ears had been removed at birth. Reham Khan claimed Pidu was injured after Imran Khan accidentally ran his car over him.[11] Pidu means 'tiny'.[13]

Maximus
Maximus, a Belgian Shepherd, was brought by Reham Khan from the United Kingdom to Bani Gala after her marriage with Imran Khan. The dog remained Imran Khan’s favourite during his stay at Bani Gala. Maximus reportedly left Bani Gala after the divorce of Imran and Reham.[16]
