If you understand one thing and one thing only, that after the Quran was completely revealed and the Prophet left this earth, what ever happened or happens after that doesn't make any difference to the deen of Allah in the slightest.

Deen of Allah as revealed in the Quran is not influenced by, or changes what the Muslims did afterwards.
