Cable operators announce to boycott IPL matches

Thursday, 21 Jan, 2010 6:59 pm LAHORE : Cable Operators Association of Pakistan has announced to boycott Indian Premier League by not showing any match of IPL, Aaj News reported on Thursday.

This was announced by President Cable Operators of Pakistan Jabbar A Khan in a press conference here.

He said that broadcasting of local and foreign channels, showing the IPL matches, would be dropped, adding that IPL would be removed from the screen of the TV channels from Karachi to Khyber.

Jabbar Khan further said that by not picking Pakistani players in the IPL, the league administration has insulted Pakistani players besides the whole nation of Pakistan. Cable operators through their unity would respond to the Indian attitude, he added.

It might be a surprised to you but I am with you guys with this one. I will not see any of these matches. Its no longer a "Premiere League" and I hope it hurts them in their pocketbooks.

Why can't I get some respect here? Follow my lead and don't watch the matches. If I had cable from these operators I will cancel it with my reasons and put up a TV antenna.Send an email to IPL just as I did.
