Taliban not anti-India: Former Taliban leader

Kabul: In an exclusive interview to CNN-IBN, former Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef has claimed that the Taliban did not see India as an enemy. Speaking to Foreign Affairs Editor Surya Gangadharan, Zaeef said that Mulllah Omar is still the Taliban leader.

Zaeef, who now lives in Kabul once reported directly to the Taliban chief Mullah Omar. He also oversaw Taliban forces in Kabul and was Mullah Omar's choice for Taliban's ambassador to Pakistan.

"They [Taliban] did not support anyone against India. But they have relationships with the Muslims. The Lashkar-e-Taiba... they are terrorist for you...but for me... no."

Zaeef also rejected Taliban's involvement in the Kandahar hijack and denied supporting terrorist groups.

According to Zaeef, India was at fault for not giving diplomatic recognition to the Taliban emirate. He insisted that Taliban never saw India as an enemy but alleged that India was running prisons in Afghanistan.

" Afghanistan is weak, Afghanistan has to be neutral, India and Pakistan no different for us, they need to fight on their border."

Zaeef also claimed that India and Pakistan were fighting a proxy war in his country.

Mullah Zaeef statement,Heartbreaking for Pakistanis by Habib

IN an interview with CNN , spoke person for Taliban Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef has claimed that the Taliban did not see India as an enemy.
After suffering 10 years from American friendly Government of Pakistan and Americans including dispersing more then 1500 Pakistanis and unknown deaths by drones attacks and terrorist attack involved India in Pakistan killing 1000s of Pakistanis this statement of Mullah Zaeef is relay heart breaking for Pakistanis
If this statement is relay from Taliban then they don't know who is enemy.
Indian behavior during this war is not undisclosed even a child know what Indian actions during this war for Pakistan and Taliban despite accusing Pakistan for to support Taliban and forcing USA and world power to pressure to DO MORE and for not doing more as a result facing Economic depression.
Pakistan was at the stake and face a great danger for last 10 year for a attack from world powers what Pakistan could not sustain and as result could be destroyed for Taliban
What Mullah Zaeef suffer Lots of other Pakistanis suffered and still suffering but did not change the loyalty.
Pakistanis should say thanks to Taliban for This Statement after what Pakistan done.

We Pakistan hate Mullah Zaeef. We are happy that Taliban are not our friends and they are coming out of their holes. India deserves to have such friends.

first let it be clear that mullah zaeef does not belong to taliban!!!!if you read papers few months back taliban very very clearly stated in media that mullah zaeef is no lonegr with taliban as he tried to do talks with america via saudia,and taliban do not want to talk with americans!

secondly mullah zaeef is same former taliban minister who was shamefully handed over by pakistani authorities to americans against all international laws
international law atates that no diplomat can be arrested no matter what ,but pakistan against all legal laws of world handed over mullah zaeef to americans ,americans tortured him so much in gunatenamo that he lost his mental balance and he admits himself that he is not mentally sound and this is another reason that he no longer belongs to taliban
