Some one mentioned above as to why he chose birth date of 25 December (christmas). Stanley wolpert explains that detailed birth registers were at first not kept and all children born in that year were given the same birth date of 25th December - Happy chirstmas.

As a matter of fact some believe that Mr.Jinnah could be perhaps a little older as well than his official birthdate.

I don't care what Jinnah said. He is dead. We are not. We have to live with Pakistan, he doesn't. I say we take our destiny in our hands and make whatever suits us best. What say you? (slow clap....) (clap)

No?
You comment made me want to quote MLK's I have a dream speech but adapted in my own words...

He said something like: I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed - we hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.
But my dream is different and rather than striving for civil rights, it is about the unity of the people of Sub-continent.l

My dream is that one day on this beautiful land from Khyber to Bengal, the sons of Muslims and the sons of Hindus will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Kashmir, a piece of heaven on earth, but running with the blood of hate war and hate , will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and unity.

I have a dream that children of our combined lands will one day live as a one nation where they will not be judged by the belief in their god but by the unity of their brotherhood.

I have a dream today!
