Somebody in Pakistan knew about bin Laden: Gates

Gates and Mullen spoke at a news conference on Wednesday amid growing anger in Congress.


US Defence Secretary Robert Gates says he believes "somebody" in Pakistan knew Osama bin Laden was hiding there, but there is still no evidence that top leadership in the country was aware.

And Joint Chiefs chairman Adm. Mike Mullen says it may take a while to find out if bin Laden had Pakistani protectors, as US intelligence agencies analyse notebooks, computer data and other material seized when bin Laden was killed this month in a US raid.

Many lawmakers want to cut aid to Pakistan unless it takes strong action against militants using the country as a safe haven.

Yes , this was DEVIS who knew and as soon as he reached USA he informed CIA about this information.

ISI top official knew about his where abouts, since they hide him in Abbotabad for last 5 years. Pakistan cannot play ''Hide& seek'' anymore, and Pakistan's game is over. Beggar cannot cheat his master. Pakistan army have to kill atleast 100 Taliban to save their arse. Soon is time for american army to enter in Pakistan's territory to find Alzawari and Mullah Umer, I hope they will track them around Quetta. So for Pakistan has proved itself a safe heaven for terrorists.
