Slider on the page - A good Idea or waste of space?

We get around 200+ threads each and due to that popular threads get lost. Therefore I decided to put up a slider on top so the popular topics stay on main page for a little longer and everyone get to see them.

Good or bad idea?

For those who refresh Siasat every 5 mins this may just be a waste of space but for those who visit the site once a day. Can see the popular topics in one glance. What do you guys say?

@adeel I think it is about time you create a seperate section on the right hand side corner which is only for constituencies and create a seperate forum for all constituencies so we can discuss real ground realities!!

for more info please refer to insaf.pk as they have done something similar but the threads were all started last year and they are outdate now... with fresh information coming on tuesday for pti's tickets award, would be beneficial if we can have some fresh discussion at hand for whats up!!
