Pervez Hoodbhoy is one of the few Pakistanis who is a logical thinker. Most Pakistanis are emotional wrecks who cling to conspiracy theories, paranoia and chai dhaba conjectures. Look beyond your labels and you will see the argument at hand.

What is so illogical in asking to investigate the results of certain constituencies (or even all). And while all this being done, the executive (which is PM Nawaz) should conditionally resign since he is a suspect ???? Imran Khan demands ARE LOGICAL !!

There is nothing illogical in the ask to investigate the results of certain constituencies or even all. The condition is that you carry support for this demand. Who supports Imran Khan in the parliament? In the courts? In the Army? If you cannot convince anyone that these constituencies need to be re-opened then you have lost the political battleground. Imran has lost politically, this is why he is out in the streets. Protesting is everyone's right in Pakistan, but extortion is not. Is Imran Protesting or is he indulging in extortion?

Nawaz Sharif is only a suspect if an official commission or Court of Law says he is a suspect. Otherwise it's just he said she said kind of talk. Gossip. Conjecture. You see this is why Imran is without power. He does not have backing.
