iam from Punjab but i fully endorsed that quetta is capital of pakistan .......ta ka blaouch awam ko positive imrage bheja jiay ...................................ya phir gawadar b better hy future capital of paktian
Brother, thanks for proving that Punjabis don't hate other communities of Pakistan and respect them all equally.
Unfortunately, other communities feel discriminated against when they see Hasb-e-haal, Khabarnaak and other music videos being played on mainstream channels that are only in Punjabi. Most TV shows also have Punjabi references.
I can feel the pain of our Pashtun and Baloch brethren who are in the majority in Pakistan with about 40% population combined when they see a mainstream show (only in name) but that only caters to the needs of a regional population.
Aur aapka point Gwadar per jo hai ghalat is liye hai kyunkay port kabhi bhi Capital nahi banatay.
America ka port New York hai laikin capital Washington.
Turkey ka port Istanbul hai laikin capital Ankara.
Humain bhi yeh hi kerna chahiye hai aur ooper aik sahab nai zikr kiya Afghanistan ka to main bhi yeh hi kehna chah raha tha. Baluchistan borders Iran, Central Asia and Afghanistan. For trade-relations, it is far more important and safe than Islamabad.
When Ayub chose Islamabad, it wasn't only because he was from the region but also because it was strategically more fit to be used for a capital than Karachi, which was a port and unsafe since our navy was weak.
I still wonder why they didn't choose Sylhet or Dhaka as a capital but it doesn't matter now, because the differences had always been present in our psyche.
Hopefully, we don't make the same mistake now, vis-a-vis Baluchistan.
Capitals always need to be diverse so the people from the specific communities that live there never separate or bother doing so. The majority of Washington D.C. is also African-American (Black) but that doesn't mean discrimination doesn't exist (despite having Blacks as homeless outside the White House, they have one inside, as well. How about we do that too? ;) Sikhs are appeased in India thanks to Manmohan and they even have a Kashmiri federal minister along with 17 ministers from the South).
Anywhoo, Islamabad is not diverse, unlike Quetta, which is home to Pashtun and Baluch in equal numbers with Hazaras that have a presence in Afghanistan, there, too (Speaker is Hazara Shia just like Lebanon's speaker, who is also Shi'a).
