Before anything should be done to currency value, Nawaz and Shabaz must be thrown to Indian Ocean.

Taking extra money for a debt in a certain amount of time(usually starting from the time of debt) is sood. For example you take loan from bank, then from the time you have taken it, you will be giving 12 to 15% per month over that amount. Which means if you take $100 this month, Then your debt each month will become like $110, $121, $133,$146 etc. Which means in 4 months only you will have to give around 50% more of the amount you took.. 50% more money in just 4 months is way too much.. Where 50% of currency devaluation may happen in around 10 to 15 years time.. So obviously this is sood. Because it is like taking advantage from someone just because you are giving money to him..

But Just imagine if you have given someone 100 rupees in the year 1950/1960/1970, do you think that 100 Rupees should still remain the same? 100 rupees in that time would have meant like 10 lac rupees today.. Its not like you are taking advantage from him. Its like you are asking for your right and telling him that your 100 Rupees in that time worth like 10 lacs today, so he should give you back what you gave to him in that time..

Yes of course people can twist these statements in their favor but then again Islam says, Aamaal ka daromadaar niyato par hai, So if you do something with a good will then I am sure Allah knows better what you are thinking and why you did a certain thing.

Imagine if the world is using real money like gold and silver for trade, and banks and Govts are not allowed to print notes or mint a penny worth of coins without backing of real money, and there is no such thing as "fractional reserve banking" in the world, then money will never loose its value and if you borrow money equal to the value of 10 ounce of gold from someone, after 25, 50 or even 100 years you owe him the same amount of money which is equal to 10 ounce of gold.

The truth is that this monetary system is a fraud but irony is that it cannot be changed or replaced easily. Its replacement will require the whole world go upside down which means poverty, hunger, riots, killings, and the list is as long as you can imagine.

With that said, although this monetary system cannot be replaced and is a part of everyday life, but atleast we can understand the reality of it and say it fraudulent instead of turning a blind eye.

What logic though! Your point is if currency devalue just in one week then it will not be Sood? If you haven't noticed currency revalue everyday , and everyday currency devalue or goes up in the value
