اس قدر کامیاب کاوش کے بعد اس معافی نے مجرموں اور ظالموں کہ سر فخر سے بلند کر دئیے اور یہ بات ثابت کر دی کہ قانون، انصاف چھوٹا نہیں حقیر ہے​

پھر میں نے شاہ رخ کے باپ کا پر سکوں چہرہ دیکھا اور اسکا انٹرویو سنا تو مجھے لگا یا کوئی سنکی بڈھا ہے

مگر آج مجھے لگا کے سنکی وہ نہیں ، سنکی ہم ہیں جو انصاف کا بول بالا چاہتے ہیں

مجھے کوئی سمجھاۓ کے چوری بڑا جرم ہے یا قتل

چوری کی دیت کچھ نہیں بس ہاتھ کاٹے جاتے ہیں جبکے قتل میں تو پورا قتل معاف
نہیں ایسا نہیں ہو سکتا- ہو سکتا ہے ہم لوگ قران سمجھنے میں کچھ غلطی کر رہے ہیں

This decision of shahzaib's family was wrong on the premise that the whole nation stood up for shahzaib against injustice ...and the pardon is not only a slap on the nation's face but also a threat to the social contract ... a great encouragement for these untouchables .. may these killer elites face the punishment of their crime in this life and the next .... and ya Allah please make it visible to us ... If it's the will of his parents! they have the right according to law. Isn't it?

I don't mean to offend anyone; But what do you guys think about the دیت law itself?

I believe anyone who commits murder, commits crime against two parties, one's the وارث and other's the state. If warisiin take دیت, the state should still have right to prosecute or demand دیت. In late case, a law could be made to set the minimum دیت that state has to charge and it must leave the criminal in huge debt most of his life. I might be wrong so please enlighten me.

The unfolding of Shahzaib fiasco in such a shameful way does not prove that justice is something meager or disparaged but it entails that we as Pakistanis are meager and disparaged. The institution of justice brought the culprit back from UAE and beating all the odds gave the verdict of his hanging but it was a family like us and from us that sold their son. We won it in the courts but we lost it in the drawing room of Shahzaib's parents.

Dr Samuel Johnson once remarked that no law of the land or the heavens can prevent man from his crimes. The Diyyat law was inducted in the Arab society because of the tribal rivalries and massacres that took place back then. Islam upheld this law to ensure that citizen belongs to his parents and they are the aggrieved party if their offspring gets killed so if the want a compensation for their offspring then they may , looking at the circumstances of his/her killers. The case of Shahrukh Jatoi , in my opinion , falls with in the realm of Fasaad fil Ardh (equalent to terrorism) and in such a case the criminal commits a crime so severe that it adds upto a social crime which can not be forgiven by the parents of the one who has been killed. I still hope that the court rejects the plea of Shahzaib's family and declares the crime of Shahrukh to be unforgivable terrorism.

absolutely agreed, itwas year 1997( I think) Aamil Kansi was arrested from Pakistan and president of Pak aurangzeb laghari was supposedly paid the bounty. CIA's
lawyer in court said " Pakistan is such a country where people would sell their mother for $10,000" I guess the rate has come down a bit in past decade or so.
