ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has decided to appoint Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir as High Commissioner to India while Pakistani Ambassador in Germany Shahid Kamal would be appointed as Foreign Secretary.
Sources told that Shahid Kamal was serving as Ambassador in Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Rialto. Sources further told that it has been decided to appoint Additional Secretary Admen Ishtiaq Hussain Andrabi as Ambassador to Saudi Arabia in place of Ummer Khan Ali Sherzai as his tenure has ended in Saudi Arabia as Ambassador.
Additional Foreign Secretary Muhammad Aslam would be appointed in Algeria as Ambassador, Amjad Majeed Abbasi to be appointed to Damascus, Tehmina Janjua to be appointed to Switzerland and Sarfaraz Khanzada to be appointed to Qatar. Pakistani Ambassador in Paris Shafqat Saeeds service tenure has been extended for one year.
