Its not the first time in our 65 years history that the Ashura happened to fall on a Friday and certainly not the first Ashura procession ever in this part of the world. But the Rawalpindi incident has thoroughly exposed the inefficiency and incompetence of the Punjab police, district administration as well as the lower judiciary (judicial magistrates/Ilaqa magistrates who are now supposed to be the overall supervisors/monitors of various police stations after the separation of the Judiciary).

Ild say, hats off to the KP police who have borne the brunt of violence head on and courageously for the past 10 years. And here we see a coward and corrupt police force, largely comprising of political appointments made by CTBT since 1985, which not just capitulated on the first shout but capitulated big time by even surrendering their weapons to the mob before ducking for cover. Voila! The enemy is testing your preparedness and here you are..... if these are the omens, one could imagine how fast could be the collapse of the state if violence ever hits multiple cities in Punjab/Sindh. what a shame!!

One wonders though whether the Rawalpindi police/district administration had put in place a Special Security Plan for Ashura, as it is supposed to be for all Muharram majalis/processions every year? And if it failed, why? Were the judicial magistrate/Ilaqa magistrate/DSP of Raja Bazar/Ganjmandi personally escorting the procession, and if not why?

Or was the Rawalpindi police/administration too busy complying with CTBT orders for new demarcations, halqa bandis and jor tor ahead the LB polls and the Ashura Security Plan didnt fit in with the administration's priorities??

High Time to depoliticize the police and administration ASAP - completely and across the board, and return to a rules-based governance with equality before law, if we are to save what is left of Jinnahs Pakistan.

Sheikh Rasheed is not acting wisely or safely . It is not sheikh Rasheed who can be considered reliable on this issue but the medical doctors who actually will or have examined the bodies.The State should not hide the crime, details must come forth . A person can be killed in not too many ways , strangulation , decapitation , bullet , suffocation , bleeding to death , head stroke or talwar strokes . When many are dead all forms of death can occur . Sheikh Sahib should not try to minimise the enormity of situation as only proper action against culprits will assure that Ashura in the form of procession will ever be allowed on this and many other routes by local residents in any big city in the future , this if not properly investigated and culprits executed will lead to surrounding residents on the route of future Ashura processions take up arms for self protection in future.this will increase chance of more trouble . Shia leadership instead of denying or minimising incident should bring culprits and let them be executed for communal harmony . Already the Punjab Cj's response of judicial commission is not satisfactory and military courts should try the culprits . As a matter of fact processions of all types be they religious , political or whatever should be banned from roads altogether for five years as there is no sense in allowing any type of mass of charged persons to pass from narrow streets thus putting women and children in side houses at the mercy of mobs . Perhaps a large park somewhat on the outskirts be used for every protestations and those agitators who use dharna on roads for agitating should no longer be tolerated and put straight behind bars for a week.This country is now overflowing with population of every type there is no other choice left if necks of most have to be protected from Talwars of the charged hordes. It is not enough to bring a few bearded faces on TV promoting religious harmony when ever some Antishia or anti Sunni atrocity occurs , that must be investigated and culprits punished. Murderers have nothing to lose , Death penalty is under suspension and CJ of Pakistan takes suo moto against every cow and donkey but not against this suspension of death sentence to please western NGOs , besides supreme court in my view does not deliberate in any conscientious and sensible manner in awarding death penalty either. It is all poor performance all over .judicial commission just like one latest on Hafsa and OBL are just exercises in futility and meant to hide things and give rest to judges for months with nothing else to do.

Look guys, it is responsibility of Govt, Law enforcing agencies & Ullema to stop such crimes from happening in our society saying that, I think we should try to act in a responsible way for reconciling our nation & society which is already very confused & divided.

اگر کوئی ملا مسجد میں بیٹھ کر یزیدیت زندہ باد کے نعرے بھی لگا رہا تھا ۔۔۔۔۔۔ حسین کو برا بھلا بھی کہہ رہا تھا ۔۔۔۔۔ تو بھی میرا سوال یہ ہے کہ آپ غصے میں آ کر مشتعل کیوں ہوئے، اور کیوں پتھر بازی کی؟

اگر ملا فساد پھیلا رہا تھا تو پولیس کو رپورٹ کر دیتے اور خود منہ پھر کر آگے نکل جاتے۔۔۔۔

اللہ تعالی قرآن میں مومن کی نشانی یہ بیان کر رہا ہے کہ:۔

وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا اللَّغْوَ أَعْرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا لَنَا أَعْمَالُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَالُكُمْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لَا نَبْتَغِي الْجَاهِلِينَ ( 55 ) قصص - الآية 55​

اور جب بیہودہ بات سنتے ہیں تو اس سے منہ پھیر لیتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں کہ ہم کو ہمارے اعمال اور تم کو تمہارے اعمال۔ تم کو سلام۔ ہم جاہلوں کے خواستگار نہیں ہیں​

​

اس آیت میں آپ کے لیے بہت بڑا سبق موجود ہے۔

علی ابن ابی طالب کی سنت:۔
​

جب معاویہ ابن ابی سفیان اور بنی امیہ کی شامی فوجیں علی ابن ابی طالب اور اہلبیت کو گالیاں دے رہی ہوتی تھیں، تو علی نے اپنی فوج والوں کو منع کیا کہ وہ گالیوں کا جواب گالیوں سے نہ دیں، بلکہ دلیل سے بات کر کے فریق مخالف کا منہ بند کریں۔

شروع میں جب خوارج پیدا ہوئے تو انہوں نے کھل کر علی کو گالیاں دینا شروع کر دیں، مگر اس پر علی نے انہیں کچھ نہیں کہا، بلکہ انکے بیہودہ کلام سے منہ پھیر لیا۔ علی نے خوارج کے خلاف ایکشن فقط اُس وقت لیا جب انہوں نے جسمانی طور پر لوگوں کو ہراساں کرنا شروع کیا۔ اس پر علی نے انہیں شہر بدر کر دیا۔

حسن و حسین کی سنت:۔
​

جب بنی امیہ مساجد میں منبرِ رسول سے اہلبیت کو گالیاں دے رہے ہوتے تھے جو انہوں نے طیش میں آ کر قتل و خون شروع نہیں کر دیا، بلکہ اس بیہودہ کلام سے منہ پھیر کے مسجد سے چلے آئے۔


چنانچہ میرا اہل تشیع سے سوال ہے کہ وہ پھر اس ملا کے اول فول بکنے پر طیش میں کیوں آئے، اور کیوں اس بیہودہ کلام سے منہ پھیر کر آگے نہیں چلے گئے​
