1860: Rare Photo of last Mughal Emperor
The King of Delhi Bahadur Shah Zafar during his exile

Bahadur Shah Zafar (1775-1862) was the last Mughal Emperor of India, contemptuously dubbed the 'King or Emperor of Delhi' by the British. He is shown here in exile in Burma in the aftermath of the Indian Mutiny (1857-1859).

Although there were calls for his execution, a promise had been made on his surrender that his life would be spared.
Most of his sons suffered a worse fate; after they had surrendered the British killed them in cold blood.

1860s: Nawab Zeenat Mahal,
The Queen of the Last Mughal Emperor
The King of Delhi Bahadur Shah Zafar

This is one and only portrait photograph of any Mughal Empress. In 1858, Her husband was deposed by the British, bringing the Mughal empire to an end, and she was exiled to Rangoon with her husband.

After her husband's death in 1862 the British banned anyone from succeeding to th
e title of Emperor in an attempt to dissolve the monarchy.

Zeenat Mahal had a son Prince Jawan Bakht and she stayed throughout with her Husband.

Bahadur Shah Zafar tried his best to ensure that after his death Zeenat Mahal and Prince Jawan Bakht would not be treated badly.

The English reassured him that they would be looked after, however, due to the events in aftermath of the war of Independence these undertakings were no longer upheld and Zeenat Mahal and her son both died and were buried in Rangoon
.

ppl should see past mistakes too...so can learn... avoiding it wont make u better...

the mutiny was bad planning in 1857.. clearly muslims could have easily kicked all the brits out.. but their planning was flawed.. and brits were smart...

Guess what happened to the British empire.

Empires will come and empires will go, Countries will be born and countries will fall. kings live and die at the mercy of Allah.

Islam lives forever.

Nothing lasts forever! These Mughals were also responsible for inflicting great misery upon innocent people. I believe the Bahadur one left his home in a bullock cart:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
