Qandeel Baloch's family forced out of home due to poverty

MULTAN: The parents of slain model and social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch, have been forced to vacate their house in Multan due to extreme poverty.


Fauzia Azeem, who went by the name Qandeel Baloch, was allegedly strangulated by her brother in an apparent honour killing in July 2016.


Speaking to The Express Tribune, Qandeels father, Muhammad Azeem said that since the death of his daughter, the family were unable to pay house rent which was previously taken care of by Qandeel.

According to the models parents, she was the sole breadwinner of the family responsible for all expenses including food, medicine.


My daughter was the only financial supporter for us, Azeem said. She not only supported us but also her brother who killed her.


Four years ago, Qandeels family moved to Multan from Dera Ghazi Khan after she rented a house in Muzaffarbad town on the Muzaffargarh-Multan road.


Since her parents cannot afford the rent, they have decided to move back to their ancestral home in Shah Sardar town in Dera Ghazi Khan.

Earlier in January, the Multan police registered a criminal case against Azeem and his wife, accusing them of trying to save one of their sons from murder charges.


The police registered the FIR under Section 213 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the complaint of Assistant Sub-Inspector Allah Bukhsh of Muzaffarabad Police Station.


Speaking with the media, Qandeels parents had denied the accusation. We wrongly nominated Aslam Shaheen in Qandeels murder. We were enraged at that time, Azeem and his wife said.

Sad,very sad when people decide to be judges of others acts!

You wont believe but there is astonishing increase in number of escorts in an outside Pakistan.

Most of these girls are from normal family background (not professional escorts families) and their sole reason of coming into this business in Poverty (resulted because of divorce, being widow, having lazy brothers etc)...

Since i usually visit bar (just to listen music ;) ) i have seen flocks of girls coming from Punjab to ME....

In a population of almost 18 Crore or above at least millions are poor yet they work hard and don't go on media and beg.
These people have got use to a life of luxury ..... From poverty to riches and now no riches.
1* They have grown up adult sons, one is in jail but 1/2 are working in Saudi Arabia. Why are they not supporting them.
2* Where is the money Qandeel left behind ?

These people have been spoilt rotten with Qandeel's money, they just want easy money and through the media generate free funds.

Let their family work hard like every decent normal human being.
Stop covering rubbish and worry about real issues plaguing Pakistan.

Shameless ********* people, first they were party to Qandeel indulging in shameful acts on net etc and earning money and now this new drama to earn free money with no effort.
I have no sympathy for them.

There are not much livelihood.In villages people can sustain themself when they land to cultivate..This is not the case with majority with no quality education institution and employment opportunity they are left with one thing only.
