Addressing the launching ceremony of the first ever youth policy by any province in the history of Pakistan, besides highlighting its salient features, CM Shahbaz Sharif announced 125,000 more laptops for the merit-scholars, Rs. 2 billions budget for creating self-empowerment opportunities for skilled and educated women, 50,000 internships in the Punjab government for fresh degree holders and Rs. 2 billions sports fund to promote sports at the Punjab-wide level...
CM also announced commencing a youth festival, starting from UC-level and going up to international level. (Admin)
Having arrived at his camp office today at 6:15 am, CM Shahbaz Sharif chaired a meeting to review pre-emptive dengue control measures.
It was told that to pre-empt dengue growth, vector surveillance of around 3000 outdoor and 4000 indoor sites including tyre shops, grave yards and construction sites has been undertaken over past month whereas around 900 sites got cleared of garbage by LWMC.
To ensure effective dengue control, 419 hand held and 11 vehicle mounted spray machines are being purchased.
CM was also briefed about campaigns for dengue awareness ranging from SMS and robocalls to a volunteers force being organized by Mrs. Shaista Pervaiz Malik.
A presentation was also made to the CM on the "Epidemic Detection System" which will use android applications for dengue control priority area mapping and activity mapping...
CM directed to make the automated system to keep track of blood donors, "Punjab Bloodline" more effective. (Admin)
