LAHORE: A Punjab woman MPA went on shopping spree using a stolen credit card.

Punjab Government spokesman has said that action will be taken against the MPA in case it is proved she had committed the crime.

According to sources, a woman named Zaira Malik has filed an application in a police station against Punjab MPA Shumaila Anjum Rana. Zaira Malik said payment of Rs80,000 was made from her credit card for the shopping.

It may be mentioned here that the MPA belongs to Pakistan Muslim Leagu-N.

LAHORE: MPA Shumaila Rana involved in Credit Card theft case, Wednesday made appearance before a two-member investigative committee of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N).

According to sources, she was accompanied with her mother Anjum Ara and uncle Shoaib.

The sources told the PML-N leadership, viewing all circumstances and evidences, advised Rana to tender resignation and underscored that her culpability is abundantly buttressed with the stolen credit cards; therefore, she had better to resign.

According to party sources, Shumaila, refusing to do so, solicited more two-day time for explanation, saying, A conspiracy is in operation against her, which she will uncover soon.

She brushed aside the allegations against her as unfounded and baseless and that she will soon unveil what she called the elements trying to frame her.

Shumaila Rana said the consipiracy was hatched to damage her political career and tarnish the image of her party.
