Punjab govt allows MQM to hold convention outside Qaddafi Stadium

MQM chief Altaf Hussain has appealed to the masses to deposit funds for holding the convention.
LAHORE:

The District Government of Lahore on Saturday allowed the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to hold a convention outside Qaddafi Stadium instead of the Minar-e-Pakistan on April 10.

Speaking to the media in Lahore, District Coordination Officer (DCO) Lahore Ahad Cheema said that the government had made foolproof arrangements to ensure security during the convention.

MQM chief Altaf Hussain has appealed to the masses to deposit funds for holding the convention.

Earlier, the Punjab government had refused to allow the MQM to hold a public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan and proposed three alternative sites instead. The government had said that security could not be provided at an open place like Minar-e-Pakistan, and offered the Expo Center, Alhamra Hall and the Ferozpur Road as alternatives.

Observers feel that the PML-N-led Punjab government may have had political reasons for its refusal of permission to the MQM, particularly since the meeting in question was planned in conjunction with the PML-Ns rivals in the Punjab, the Quaid faction of the PML. The MQM and PML-Q have announced a political alliance for the 2013 Punjab Assembly elections in a bid to challenge the PML-Ns dominance in the province.

MQM is the biggest agents of terrorists, feudal and exploiters. They looted country in all the periods. they are trying to divert the attention of peoples from the real issues.

Imram Khan exposed them by offering them to come to struggle against US for drone attack, Afia siddiqui and Raymond Davis but after that they never talked or come out to do any practical step.

they just want to engage the peoples on non issues like public meeting and where. It is known to all that they transported their workers to Lahore just to show that they have some peoples in their support.

The peoples of Karachi are now living like selves under their terrorist rule.

Peoples of Pakistan will never allow to spread their terrorism on other parts.

Itna ghussa.... Bhai aap ki baton ka jawab aur jaga kafi bar day chuka hun, ab to yeh sawal dekh kar hi uktane lagta hun. Agar nahi vote dena to mat do MQM ko, koi zabardasti thori hai. Jao Imran ko vote do aur khush raho.

LOL @ you thinking MQM will transport thousands of workers to Lahore!! Pta hai Lahore ka train ticket kitna hai?? Aur ab to trainain bhi band ho rhi hain ahista, ahista...

One other thing, we in Karachi dont live like 'selves', I know where you get the idea from but it is not true. We have nice lives here for the most part, and we only vote for MQM because they provide us with nice roads, clean water and parks and they raise our voice in the assemblies. Why wouldnt we vote for them??
