PTI's NRO with Zardari?

When PTI withdrew disqualification application from ECP, many people including me said:

"SC registrar will reject the application saying to go to the "concerned" department first. In this case, its ECP and then high courts and then supreme courts."

Today, SC has said exactly the same:

The SC registrar raised objections on the petition, saying the petitioners didn’t approach the relevant forum to have their grievance addressed. “Despite presence of the forum the petitioners approached the top court.”

At that time, we allege that this is a pretext to a deal or a time buying tactics - if ordinary people like me can tell in advance what SC registrar will say, surely the PTI's lawyer would have known. At that time, there was a real threat that Zardari and NS may be able to topple the government therefore PTI quickly took a u-turn and withdrew their petition from ECP.

Now both PTI and PPP will raise empty slogans against each other without concrete actions.

It is called pressure tactics. You don't always have to go in a hurry, specially when someone is destined to be disqualified eventually.

Your assessment of PTI delaying Zardari's disqualification may be right. But the reason is certainly wrong. The actual reason might be something else/tactical. After the 18th Amendment, there is no way possible, NO WAY AT ALL, even after the successful conclusion of the vote of no confidence/forward block etc. to remove a government legitimately. The only way to remove the government now is unconstitutional. i.e: Martial Law. So PPP and PMLN just BS with their claims about toppling the government as Sheikh Rasheed used to do the same during the last government. The sole intent of their BS is to not lose more members and keep their voters/members united behind their leaderships while giving them a hope that good days are just round the corner for them!

Well this is what Dr Sahid Masood said that efforts are made for Pti PPP mokmuka. And that the reason he is still in jail.
