ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Arbab Khizar Hayat on Sunday said the “much-hyped tsunami of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has fizzled out”. “Imran Khan’s party has become a magnate for turncoats and opportunist politicians, and hence lost credibility,” Hayat said. The PML-N leader challenged Khan to contest the upcoming parliamentary election against him from the National Assembly constituency NA-2 in Peshawar. “Khan will face an ignominious defeat and will quit politics for good,” he cliamed. “Khan and his cronies are hankering after cheap popularity. They are hurling baseless allegations at Nawaz Sharif, the most popular leader of the country, to remain alive in the media,” he said. “The PTI has no roots among the masses and it will collapse like a house of cards in the upcoming general election. The real face of Khan has been exposed and the Pakistani nation will not trust his hollow claims of ridding the country of corruption within 90 days,” he added. “A tug of war within the PTI is underway and soon the disillusioned PTI leaders will start joining the PML-N,” he concluded. During the recent days, PML-N leaders Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Khawaja Asif have accused Khan of laundering millions of rupees donated by people to the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital.
