KARACHI: The concerned authorities have allowed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold public meeting at Mazar-e-Quaid on Sunday, December 25, Geo News reported on Friday.Muhammad Arif, a resident engineer, told Geo News that under Maintenance and Protection Ordinance (PRO) 1971 no one is allowed to hold rally at Mazar-e-Quaid or at the place that comes under its administration.He said PTI is allowed to hold rally on a condition that it would not harm the property and also would not put hurdles for visitors on December 25.Earlier, police on Friday locked down the ground adjacent to mausoleum and barred PTI workers from entering into it.PTI leaders and workers were expelled out from the ground and a copy of Sindh High Court (SHC) order had been put up at the main gate of the ground. http://www.thenews.com.pk/NewsDetail.aspx?ID=29214&title=PTI-allowed-to-hold-rally-at-Mazar-Quaid​

KARACHI: The gates of the Qauid’s mausoleum have been re-opened after the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) have been expelled this morning from the ground, SAMAA reports Friday.

Police also locked the gates of the ground and banned entry of the political workers into the PTI’s venue for the party’s public gathering slated for December 25.

After the City government expelled the workers from the ground, the PTI activists staged protest demonstration. Later on, the gates were unlocked allowing entrance for the party workers.

The PTI chief Imran Khan is personally overseeing the arrangements for the public rally at the venue. The huge hoardings with Khan’s pictures and banners have been put on several places around the city.

This morning when the PTI delegation arrived at the Mausoleum, the administration disallowed them to enter the ground. The Tehreek’s leaders including Imran Ismail, Deputy General Secretary of PTI Sindh condemned the move.

The party has massive budget for Karachi rally. The public gathering has been enormously publicized around the entire city.

Pinning hopes on the Karachi rally, Imran said he would gather people from all affiliations on a single platform. SAMAA[/TD]

Quaid’s Management Board grants permission for PTI rally

KARACHI: On the instructions of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Quaid-i-Azam Management Board on Friday granted the permission to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf for holding the rally in the connected ground of the Qauid’s mausoleum, DawnNews reported.
Earlier, on the orders of the Sindh High Court, the Quaid-i-Azam Management Board had sealed the connected ground of mausoleum and displaced the party workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.
However, after the instructions of PM Gilani, the venue was unlocked and the preparations for the PTI rally have started.
