PTI 21st Sep 2014- Jalsa - My View & Pics

I went to the Jalsa , around 04:30, i was at the place. Will tell the story later on, but first some pics (Only few, as i wanted to enjoy the event, rather then taking pictures like YOLO breed). I am sure, you guyz/galz will find better pictures on net then mine.

It was Huge event. More bigger then 25th Dec 2011 Event. If you guyz check out
the below given Map, it shows in Orange Lines, which were jam packed with people.
Red box is where the actual Jalsa took place, its about 250-300 sqft wide road,
and a KM long. It was totally Packed.

Those who know Karachi, I was near the PSO Pump (It was almost 20 yds behind me).
Almost 70% area was filled , when i reach the venue at 04:30PM.

Roads were packed from Quadi Mazar to GuruMandir (Another 1 Km), QM To Old Numaish (Imam bargah)
, QM to Islamia College (back Road - Orange Line) with People.

My Guesstimate Within the Blocked venue (stage till gate) 250K ppl. Another 200k outside.

Please before saying other wise, do understand, that I've been working with Activation
Agency since past 18 years, and i do most of the events in Karachi. so i know how
to calculate, unlike Retarded TV Crew.

The event was electrifying , people were happy. People from every walk of life were present
with variation in age. It was some what of a family event.

Chants were high pitched, GO NAWAZ GO was more prominent then Ai AI PTI.

I am sure, you guyz can get all of this detail from else where too.

Here are the Bad Parts.

Awab Alvi suck as an event manager / admin.
During my 3.5 hours stay, i only saw 2 volunteers.
There were no metal detection. Gates were placed , but weren't activated.
There was no preparation to separate the Families form bachelors.
People were like humongous, uncontrolled mob , On which i felt ashamed, as we
Karachites aren't like this.
Most of the people were standing on the Chairs (Yes, both Male / Female)in Front.
Awab & Faisal asked them to sit only once, even after several DM's by a group of more
then 100 people.
It was chaotic. Check out the last Picture of a Little girl. After i took this picture
a Stampede happened (A 30+ girl was left 2 rows behing, and she suddenly started shouting, though she was with females)And no one was there to control it. I had to work with a group of Guyz to manage the crowd and My own sister got lost (found after 15 mins).
At that time (Fireworks) People were still pouring in from all direction and no one
from PTI was there to control or direct.

Worst Part. Sound system sucked big time. Speakers weren't placed properly (in 180 Degree)
so the people who came for the speech, only got away with NARA GO NAWAZ GO.

To make matter worst. Awab alvi twitted and thanked his 15+ volunteers, who were on ground
handling all things properly and in control.

This is VIP CULTURE as long as :

- He does it with his own money.
- Does not bother common people life or beats up people in the way

Basically, there is PPP Political office, which was Started in the times of Bhutto. Do not be Alarmed. It is called Peoples Chowrangi.

Unfortunately it is a sad truth that PTI sucks in management, best thing was inter party election n give power to grassroot people who can organize n own to any mistakes, same thing happened in Islamabad where Niazi made a mess. Alawi is there media cell manager , more responsibility lies on Imran Ismail but I guess he was more busy with that Mafioso guy Salman radwa or something, IK needs to up his game n do some basic hiring n firing to get the PTI machine in place

You wont believe it , how much i am angered at mismanagement. Asad umer was there , after we left after jalsa. he was in his civic and we (me & sis) shouted at him over this issue. we also bombard awab alvi, faisal javed, arif alvi , Asad umer and few others with complaint about this problem.

Jalsa was awesome. no doubt. but not having some one to guide or direct , is a very crucial issue, and needs to be looked after, when this kind of huge gathering is present.

I Guess, they weren't even sure that the outcome will be this big. (1 hour to just leave the place, and i was in the almost end)

Everyone knew it was going to be big, even Nasim Zehra All out critic of PTI was tweeting yesterday that the turnout will be massive but lets just be happy that Karachi once again proved PTI has got immense potential there but they only need to channelize n manage its popularity. I think the urban centres of Pakistan has made up their mind for PTI, u will see the same support in Lahore n Multan in coming days.

That picture was taken just outside mazar e quaid. Its a round about behind mazar e quaid and across the road there is a house owned by Mr. Munawar Soharwardi (murdered) PPP leader .... PPP is using this house as there office these days

I have already volunteered to look after the organization (ouside) with PTI people.

I don't go to events/functions as it is quite difficult for me to swallow down mismanaged stuff, which isn't that obvious to common people.

No one was there with Walkie Talkie. hell , we use shortwave walkie talkies, when we do events (since past 15 years, its in use) in Expo or else where, as Cell reception usually breaks down, after 5k signals and WalkieTalkies are more receptive in noisy areas, both sound & signal wise.

They should have hired a proper event mgmt company ( max to max 1 million was required) to look after the Jalsa.

PTI needs volunteer committee for such events specially. Tey are growing exponentially.

یار یہ سارا انتظام چند دنوں کے نوٹس پہ ہوا تھا اور پی ٹی آئی والوں کو خود بھی نہیں انداز تھا کہ اتنے لوگ آئینگے۔ جب پچھلا کراچی کا جلسہ ایک مہینے کی تیاری سے ہوا تھا تو ٹھیک ٹھاک تھا۔ اور یہ نہ بُھولوں کہ سارے کے سارے پی ٹی آئی والے پچھلے 40 سے بُہت تھکے ہوئے ہیں اور ایک ہی کام سے بور بھی ہوئے ہونگے۔

ویسے بھی پی ٹی آئی کا مقصد صرف طاقت کا مظاہرہ کرنا تھا اور نوروں کو انڈر پریشر کرنا تھا جسمیں انہیں کافی کامیابی ہوئی اور پی ٹی آئی کے دھرنے والوں کو بھی تازہ آکسیجن مل گئی۔

just a polite note to the people complaining about jalsa management ,,,,,,wake up guys and learn to manage yourselves this is what empowerment is ,,take responsibilities for your actions and help others ,,,be positive ,,,,,,
besides is pti or more relevantly imran khan doing this for his sake ,,,,if you believe it is for a better pakistan ,,,,THEN START BEHAVING LIKE BETTER PAKISTANIS
