PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari-interview with Charlie Rose(latest)

Let me just put the content of this interview to one side and talk about BZs over all conduct and body language. Keeping in mind that Charlie Rose has been very soft on him as it is unusual for him to interview a 21 years old school going political party president. Nevertheless, in my opinion this is how i'd talk to a 'sensitive girl' on a date on the corner table of a quite restaurant to come across as the little posh boy that she would be pleased to introduce to her parents. His voice was weak, the body language was apologetic and on some points of a little kid who is seeking empathy from an adult because his mother died. Although he made a few good points at start but it was about the same interview as AZ had given to Hamid Mir, which tells me that he's from the same political school as his dad.
I find it rather funny that he doesn't know the whereabouts of HH as well and his statement about BIS is absolutely ridiculous. So, here is another un-elected parasite who is sharpening his teeth to graze on poor awam but perhaps We deserve it because we're the ones who vote for these pigs. I hope one day we'll wake up ....

Super Interview.... with this age he is quite reminiscent of his Great mother and grandfather..... Absolutely brilliant, I guess there s hardly anyone is Pakistan politics who can be so good in communication still remaining quite diplomatic as well..... Well done Bilawal... Despite my political affiliations, I would still appreciate you for your nice handling of the American media...

You can't be serious. I think you got a bit too carried away with the use of English dictionary whilst listening to his interview. Just look at him ! He acted like a gutless, apologetic little wimp. If he really does believe in democracy that much, why doesn't he give up his un-elected chairmanship and hold elections in his party to make it democratic.

We as a nation would make another blunder if we in any way shape or form promote this idiot to rule us in the future..we should totally boycott his appearences.....and start to boycott him from now..otherwise...he would be asserted on us by any means..

Such a pathetic interview, no rational and radicl answers just emotions emotions and emotionally driven replies.

Felt so much shame, him representing my country without having any thing to do with Pakistan!!

Ha ha ha, insecure and me?? What the heck... why on earth I would be insecure because of him? I also wrote one sentence describing my political differences with PPP' current leadership but where it is due, it should be appreciated and just because we donot like his dad, so we must hate him and whatever he does... Think rational and be out of the shells... This blinded and irrational following has already done so much damage to our society..... We just want to hate everything and blast t because of our personal likings and dislikings...

Looks like you are insecure and lack confidence: that is why you are impressed from him. Moreover, there are lot of Pakistani's who have ability to tackle media.

Its not just English etc, I did not write that he speaks or is more confidant than me, or you or any Kid, but the political leaders we have...What to talk of replying so handsomely and diplomatically, they even cant construct a proper reply even when they have so much to defend....

But WHY speak half the truth?
No sincerety with the nation then, only with the family and Americans?
Just speaking confidently enough to be the leader of the nation (the rattay rataye answers)?
The kids in schools in English speaking countries would be able to speak with this much or More confidence, won't they?

This is the issue here - these guys are made to look good. I am not saying that he is not eloquent or that he is dumb but you are saying that there is no one in Pakistani politics who is eloquent and politically smart at the same time - I agree with you but the issue is does anyone have the training, exposure, indoctrination, experience as him? He has pedigree - you dont have to be brilliant to pull through these interviews the way he did if you have that kind of background. When you are ferried around hobnobbing with the politicial leaders at a young age - you gain certain confidence and a sense of entitlement - similar to how a heir to a kingdom is prepared and taught by the best and has the best opportunities to grow and get the best exposure. Comparing him with our run of the mill politicians is comparing apples and oranges. He would have been brilliant if he had been able to speak as eloquently in Urdu or Sindhi as he does in English.

My point is that he is not brilliant - I agree with Tutor below that you take a kid from any of the schools he had attended and give them the same kind of background they will at least be able to speak as eloquently as him.

My take is that all this western media exposure is not coincidental - we should be ready for the anointing of PM bilawal for the next election and he is being introduced to our paymasters in the west that here is an acceptable face of the country for them. He speak like them and thinks like them and ready to take over from the cunning dad who is good at dealing with the internal street smart politics but doesn't come across as a statesman to the foreigners.

No answer for kashmir policy!

No concern fover indian influence in Afghanistan!

Pakistani should be very very happy for the 'tiny bit' they get through BISP and forget about my father's and party's corruption, we are only paying the price for my mum's great cause!
what is the great cause?

There is no one standing up for democracy in pakistan except HIm, his family and friends!

wow Great! I'm impressed!

Those who didnt like his interview had good reasons to do so and a few who liked his speech also had good reasons.Every one has freedom to form his opinion and then express it so let us accept each other opinion in a civilised way without getting overcome with bitterness.

yes look at the body language of these interviewers in all the recent interviews, it is very much clear.
I think they created that nato summit drama to create an opportunity for his promotion, ppp did not raise eye brows over what happened to zardai and gillani in recent visists because this was in piplines.
US is looking forward to bring him in power again by all means, we should be ready for more of these dramas but all that at what cost??

did you see the body language of gillani in recent interview, did you see how much confident he looks, even all the ppp leaders they seem to be dead sure that they will win next elections although they can't pull a good enogh jalsa apart from few villages in sindah and in gillanis village in multan.
What is all this confidence all about, I can anticipate big game of rigging elections or even more.
I also don't understand why they haven't finished with computerised lists even after so many years.
They are playing too many games, and America is all in and also some media dogs in pakistan too.

I think that our leaders have mortgaged our destiny to our donors. With our behavior we have become what that guy Haqqani described(and he is one of the responsible parties too) as carpet sellers. We are ready to sell our country, people and even soul to the 'lowest' bidder - notice the qualifier 'lowest.'

Why do you think that when there is a big crisis Z flies abroad - why do you think he does that. In my opinion thats to show that his foreign backers wouldn't let him get a scratch and take him out of the crisis until they tighten the screws in other ways.

Unless and until we break ourselves from the shackles of these forces with vested interested by selling ourselves short - nothing will happen. We will be importing leaders or leaders will be imposed on us.

I don't see any signs that people are realizing whats been going on with us throughout our history.
