KARACHI: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that his party kept on accepting MQM’s all kinds of demands in past but expressed, this time, his disagreement on bowing down to latter’s such demands that go against the interest of the state, SAMAA reported Sunday.

Addressing the journalists in Lahore, “PPP cannot accept anti-state demands of MQM,” the Premier asserted.

Formation of Grand Alliance against the government is not visible in near future, PM Gilani stated, being hopeful of MQM’s rejoining of the coalition government.

PPP always stays readily poised to sit on opposition benches but the procedure of removal from power needs to be constitutional, he said.

This is the first democratic government sans support of army dictatorship which is going to complete five-year tenure in the history of Pakistan, he vowed. SAMAA

If MQM supports PM...they call MQM Pakistan lover

If MQM supports opposition... it suddenly becomes anti-state

The chief minister says that the accusations of attack at 9-0 are regrettable.

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah said that the government did not disconnect the telephone lines of 9-0, the MQM headquarters.

“Why we would disconnect the lines”, Qaim said.

Talking to the media in Karachi, Qaim said that accusations of separating Sindh and attack on 9-0 were regrettable.

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)’s senior minister in Sindh Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq has said his party has been fed up calling upon MQM to rejoin coalition government, now, the party is in no mood to woo MQM again, SAMAA reported Sunday.

Addressing a joint press conference after meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI)’s leaders here in metropolis, the minister first tried to teach the attending journalists how to pose the questions amid a press conference.

He did allow a woman journalist to raise a question but failed to ‘read between the lines’ so he began to ‘beat about the bush’ in reply.

The minister started narrating the story of Zulekha when asked a question about the abolished ordinance of local bodies system.

Later, he said that PPP had been sick of bringing MQM round to become part of coalition government ‘time and again’ therefore our party would never make that attempt again. “Enough is enough,” he clarifies. SAMAA
