Few weeks before, heard the news that all IPPs will be micro audited by the Government to determine the output cost of the power plants?
Heard this news from some journalists and even Aqeel Kareem Dhedi also mentioned this in few programmes.

Is there any updated news on the subject issue by anyone???

Consider it very important for our national and industrial growth. Why electricity is cheap in Bnagladesh and India whereas it is very expensive in Pakistan and we have to subsidize not even to the industries but to the households as well. Whereas same subsidy amount can be transferred to many other useful projects and for the welfare.

We have duble loss in this, one we pay extra to the IPPs and also we have to subsidize to pay again..............................Also we are paying power plants in USD which is also strange.................Whereas Government first pays in dollars for the oil and again Government pays in dollars to the IPPs...................

Its really strange....................

you are expecting micro audit of huge energy projects involving many local and international parties from a govt who could not complete a simple urban bus transportation project for one city in over 7 years ?
