There is so much negative media coverage of PAK that nothing positive generally gets a look in - only doom and gloom - so I think it will be good to have a shared thread for anything and every thing PPers find positive about Pakistan please share here any thing positive about Pakistan.

I do realise that one persons positive might be anothers negative - so MY STRONG REQUEST TO YOU is only to post here the positive news and comments feel free to query and comment as long as it is not negative, personal or snide smart alecks should definitely stay away please.

Thanks, now any thing positive about Pak or connected to Pak that includes Desis and overseas diaspora of Pak origin any where in the world just be positive and keep it Pakistani!

Pakistan Has More CNG Vehicles and Stations Than Any Other Country

Pakistan has been reported to have the largest number of CNG-powered vehicles in the world - leaving behind Brazil and Argentina for the first time, according to International Association of Natural Gas Vehicles. Pakistan also boasts the largest number of CNG filling stations in the world. The number of operational CNG pumps has increased to 17,000, while around 200 CNG pumps are being established and 4,000 investors have shown interest to set up fuel stations of this gas. The number of CNG-run cars have exceeded to 1.6 million throughout the country.


The number of CNG filling stations has also grown largely in the country. "The country has shown an extra-ordinary growth of 5.5 million vehicles in the last seven months of the current year as the number of CNG-run vehicles stood at 10.5 million at the beginning of the year." Brazil, the second largest user of natural gas, has 1.42 million CNG-run vehicles. The third largest user, Argentine, has 1.35 million consumers. Private owners run around 70 percent of CNG filling stations while 30 percent are run by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).

You are right.whenever I see any pak tv channel I get a picture that pakistan is burning and it is about to collapse.
In begining of nov 2009 there was a big trade show about safety garments and equipments in dussedorf germany.I had to attend(i am not a businessman)this show under compulsion.My friend who was awarded a stall by tdcp(trade development coporation of pakistan)in this trade show and I had to help my friend who could not speak english.
What I noticed in this show was that The stalls of pakistani people were more than even double of Indian stalls.The people who were representing the pakistani stalls were well dressed and having better look than the indians.The product displayed on stalls of both sides were almost the same.
To my surprise the TDCP officer incharge was comming times and again to cheak if the stall holders need some thing.TDCP had arranged translaters for german and english language.They had also arranged, to provide tea and snacks so many times a day.So much so TDCP had also arranged for the cleaniness of the stalls.
