i am not in favor of strong words....... but i will make an exception in case of zia....... jitna zaleel insaan woh tha...... bari mushkil say tareekh dobara aysa zaleel witness ker paye gi.......

OMG! !! What a normal society it was...people expressed democratic views plainclothes police actually nabbed people and there was tourism instead of terrorism. I think the nostalgia only exists with us who saw some of that golden era. Those born in the 80's don't even know....and probably never will!!! Talk about a country on a steady decline.

پردہ تو دور یزید میں بھی رائج تھا اور سب مسلمان ھی تھے تو پھر شھادت حسین کیوں ھو گئ؟ ظاھری باتوں پر نھیں جاتے اگر ضیا دل سے نفاذ اسلام چاھتا تو کبھی ناکام نہ ھوتا پر اسنے تو گیارہ سال میں پاکستان کو چوروں کے حوالے ھی کر دیا۔یہ شریف برادران اسی کی نشانی ھیں۔رھی بات تلوار کی تو میں آرائیوں کے جذبہ شھادت سے خوب واقف ھوں سیاچن گلیشیر تو یہ کہہ کر دے دیا کہ وھاں تو گھاس بھی نھیں اگتی۔

ایران میں انقلاب کے بعد نہ تو عریانی ہے اور نہ دہشت گردی یہ پالیسی امریکی ہے جس کے ساتھ رہنے سے یہ دونوں بیماریاں پاکستان میں تھی اور زیادہ ہوگئی ہیں پہلے صرف انے والے انگریزوں میں تھی آج کل پاکستانیوں میں بھی ہیں- عریانی اور فحاشی بڑے شہروں میں اور دہشت گردی علاقه غیر اور منسلکہ علاقوں میں اس پر بھی غور کریں

It seems we are trying to be judge for our past. For those who wanted to see pakistan become a paradise for liberation, westernization, alcohalism,valgury, see these pictures and feel sad and disappointed. Those on the other side, who wanted to see this as a progressive Islamic state, when they see these pictures, they feel embarressment on their past. I wish if we could see a Pakistan without any impairities of the western culture but a solid state which takes care of its own citizens. However, Today's pakistan could not claimed to be the one which people wished it to be. On the simple note, we have moved forward to clean most of the unislamic public activities which were displayed around the country. I wish if we could have made this a peaceful and Islamic precedent.

ضیاء کو جنّتی کہنے والے اس کے سرے اقدامات اور ان کے نتائج دیکھنے سے قاصر ہیں طالبان سے لے کر ہیروئن اور اسلحہ سے لے کر الطاف جیسے لوگ سب کو پروان چڑھایا، یہ اور اختر دونوں جہاد کے نام پر تجارت اور امریکی مفادات کی نگرانی کرتے رہے آج ان کی اولادیں ارب پتی ہیں اور پاکستان جل رہا ہے. اسکو کبھی جنّت نہیں مل سکتی. نواز شریف بھی آل سعود کے جتنا قریب ہے انتہایی خطرناک بات ہے اگر سوچا جائے تو ہم مزید دوسرے ممالک کی جنگیں اپنے ملک میں لڑنے کے متحمل نہیں ہو سکتے.


ایران کی بھی خیر کیا کہئے اسکے وکیل ذرا جا کر تو دیکھیں کیسے کیا کچھ ہو رہا ہے اور دنیا کو کیا دکھایا جاتا ہے. ١٩٧٩ میں ایک نیا دور ظہور میں آیا تھا اور مزے کی بات ہے کہ ہم میں سے کیی ضیاء کے اقتدار میں آنے کا ڈرامہ اور اسلام نافذ کرنے کے نام پر مخصوص خیالات اور حالات مسلّط کرنے کو تو سمجھ جاتے ہیں مگر خمینی کے بلکل اسی عشرے اور اسی سال میں بلکل ویسے ہی ڈرامہ کو نہیں سمجھ سکتے. ہاں تھوڑا سا فرق اس لئے کہ ایرانی اور پاکستانی نفسیات میں ١٩ ٢٠ کا فرق ہے ورنہ ذرا سنجیدگی سے بیٹھ کر سوچئے تو اندازہ ہو ہی جاتا ہے.

Zia ul haq replaced bars, alcoholic beverages, disco clubs and cinema's with guns, drugs, corruption, nepotism and hypocracy. Now decide for yourself which one is lesser evil to the society.
