This is often said, but I believe that certain relationships are much more stable and reliable than others. Would you describe US Israeli or US British relations only based on interests? They go much further than just interests.
Pak China relationship falls in the same category. We can blindly trust the Chinese because we trust each other. Of course we also benefit from mutual interest on top of that.
off course, because some interests are long term. If you see Pak-China, Pak's location is strategically very important for China. Also as IN can't be CN friends, and more inclined towards US, CN needs to be keep Pakistan close.
US-Israel or UK-Israel are simply based on jewish dominance in policy making in US-UK. They are amongst the thinktanks of US-UK.
