جمعرات کو جاری ایک اعلامیہ میں ایف بی آرنے متعلقہ خبروں کو غلط اور گمراہ کن قرار دیتے ہوئے واضح کیا ہے فنانس سپلیمنٹری بل میں کوئی نیا ٹیکس نہیں لگایا گیا،درآمدی بل کا حجم کم کرنے اور روپے کی قیمت مستحکم رکھنے کیلئے1800 سی سی سے زائد انجن پاور گاڑیوں کی درآمد اورپاکستان میں بننے والی 1800 سی سی سے زائد انجن پاور گاڑیوں پر ایکسائز ڈیوٹی میں اضافہ کیا گیا ہے جس سے دو سے تین ارب روپے کے محصولات متوقع ہیں جبکہ بل میں کم از کم 10 ارب روپے سے زائد کے ریلیف اقدامات کئے گئے ہیں،
فنانس بل سے مجموعی طور پر ایف بی آر محصولات میں6ارب80کروڑ روپے کی کمی آئیگی جس سے کاروباری افراد کی سہولیات میں اضافہ ہو گا،روزنامہ جنگ کے رپورٹر تنویر ہاشمی نے بھی اپنی غلطی تسلیم کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے منی بجٹ کے بعد ایف بی آر حکام کی بریفنگ میں 12ارب روپے سے متعلق ریونیو پر اثرات کی بات کو سمجھنے میں غلطی ہوئی جس میں 12ارب روپے کے نئے ٹیکس سے متعلق خبر شائع ہوئی جبکہ چھ ارب 80کروڑ روپے کی
چھوٹ اور محصولات میں کمی سے متعلق اعداد وشمار درست ہیں جس کو ایف بی آر نے بھی اپنی پریس ریلیز میں وضاحت کی ہے۔ دریں اثناء روزنامہ جنگ کی ایڈیٹوریل کمیٹی نے رپورٹر سے خبر کے بارے میں وضاحت طلب کی ہے اور وہ اس کے خلاف کارروائی کررہی ہے۔

In the past, they'd lie on perspectives/opinions but the irony of today's media is that it is lying on FACTS.

Best strategy would be that any social media platform (such as siasat.pk) or survey agencies (not counting on Gallop) conducts a survey on the efficacy of channels/talk shows. Make the data public to the advertisers! They'll draw their ad revenue back and these FAKE media houses will fall under their own weight. Currently, they also lie with corporations about their ratings! They have the rating agencies in their pockets!
