NTS system for selecting President, Governors, MPs in a presidential system

We waste billions of rupees, precious time and effort and create rifts and enmities between sections of society by conducting polls for selection of our representatives. Why can't we select the MPs even president and governors through a National Testing System (NTS).

NTS has been adopted in KP to select govt employees as CSS selects higher cadre bureaucrats. Parliament is the most important institution of the country, so why are members of Parliament left at the mercy of illiterate people to elect them.

NTS system will give equal opportunity to all to compete and best people will emerge as our representatives. A detailed presentation on this system can be watched

A very bad and impractical idea though a darling rhetoric of the right wing politics. Meritocracy is an old code word and veiled idea/campaign for military/dictator led fascist states.

There is no replacement for political parties, freedom of association, freedom of expression, free EC, accountability and independent judiciary. A dynamic, adaptive and progressing economy and culture can be achieved only by these means not by a fuhrer or khalifa on the top.
