Assalamo Alaikum ,

First of all Pardon me guys, before i start getting bashing from the ones who would think that its such a non serious thread considering the current scenario of the country , but everything is going on as planned as these were before operation NW so our case should not be taken as exception
:) ...

i just wanna ask from the members living in germany, that which company's ready meals are ok to take to germany, means that are not objected by the german authorities on airport while entering in germany, if you can guide me on this will be a great help for us three friends who would land in frankfurt next month for one month backpacking trip ... if you know some place in Isb/Rwp from where we can get these quality packed foods ... any other advice from your side related to our trip would be appreciated especially for ready to eat/packaged food and medicines that we require to bring with us for one month

best regards

I dont know why you need to take packed food with you, you can easily find super markets selling tinned / frozen and even suitable for vegiterian / halal food. I went there once with friends and there was no problem at all. Lidl is very cheap super market brand for cheap / fresh / tinned and frozen food.

i know there's no prob in finding halal food in europe, but we are interested in ready to cook food packs rather than the raw halal meat as these cooked and packed food stuff becomes ready to eat when the foil is heated in an oven or in warm water for only 3-5 mins time .... if you can recommend some thing like that in frankfurt (our entry point) ... and the name of super store, and company who is making good taste halal packed food items , thnx

I doubt that they would allow you freezed food. I assume you will be switching your locations frequently in your trip. So that might become little uncomfortable with freezed (or normal) food in backpack. You can find everything everywhere in europe . BTW excitement of backpack trip does also lies in staying light and testing different stuff around.

Dear I don't know in Isb/Rwp but if you really want to take good food in Germany then please prepare at home any food you like like biryani / chicken / meat cormas etc. and simply come to lahore with all your stuff. There is a company in Shadman Lahore with the name of AL-FAISAL FOODS CANNERS. I did the same experiment many times. I oftenly take my montly food in containers even (by sea) and food remain fresh. Rest assured there will not be any problem at any airport.

But there are members who say that there would not be any problem with the packed foods at any airport

Brother, you say that we should not bring them if we are arriving at frankfurt airport ??

Well, I would recommend that you dont bring a thing. In frankfurt, you can find several pakistani, indian resturants where you can sit and eat. Secondly, you can find tinned desi food at pakistani/indian/bangladeshi/turkish superstores. Thirdly, you can enjoy halal dner from many turkish shops (but dont forget to ask if its halal. you can ask them to show you halal certificate as well). At least in germany you will never find a problem related to food.
