Namaz-e-Janaza of Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Fakharul Hassan and his sons, Flying Officer Minhajul Hassan and Saadul Hassan, who were martyred in the Rawalpindi terrorist attack, were offered at the Cavalry Ground, Army Graveyard in Lahore. Air Vice Marshal Sohail Aman, army officials and a large number of people belonging to all walks of life had attended the funeral prayers. Contingents of the Pakistan army and PAF presented a guard of honour. Special prayers were also offered for the departed souls. Later, the martyrs were buried at the Army Graveyard. The incident occurred at the time of Friday prayers. According to an eye witness, as soon as the Imam said Allah u Akbar, two loud explosions were heard following indiscriminate firing. Soon after attack, security forces instantly surrounded the area and started exchanging fire with attackers.
