Amzing counter argument - telling people to just stop doing what they do. You want everyone who criticizes shortsighted and self serving policies of corrupt and inept politicians to jump into the most corrupt and screwed up system called elections.
Who is stopping him to criticise ?
That is what he has to do to earn some bread. Fortune favours the brave and if he does not has the will to swim through then his printed articles will just be used for selling pakora

Well, you are not the first one - I have heard this argument before. We are just not built to take criticism, even if its positive, what to say of the corrupt and inept politicians and their blind followers. I guess all the great art critics have to start painting masterpieces before they can critique the paintings and the great film critics should start producing and directing blockbusters before even thinking about critquing a movie.

Don't take me wrong. I'm all up for criticism but in short my counter argument meant that there is a difference between criticising in drawing rooms and knowing ground realities. Coming election results will tell us whose argument and stance is favoured by the voters. Was it too difficult to comprehend ?

Even then your argument doesn't hold much water. I think if you go and ask people will tell you that the politicians and political parties are the most oblivious when it comes to knowing what people want. Even in the province that is ruled by your favorite party people are complaining about no development work or no visibility of their elected representatives. For reference watch umpteenth time these sentiments are shown by people when the cameras and reporters go to far flung constituencies. Its not that I am a big fan of SS but I am sure he has more insight about people's sentiments then the politicians.
I am sure you have firm belief in this pakistani electoral process. The system that is dominated by the richest elites and where we have the travesty of NRO institutionalized as a the law of the land then what to say of the corrupt who end up in the assemblies. Good for people - we deserve great leaders like these who hide behind the tallest boundary walls and the darkest of car windows.......ignorance is bliss.
