Brother abdullah sb, the only way a human can understand anything is by using his brain. However before anyone can use brain one needs to learn how to use the brain. If there is anything you can learn without using brain please let me know. Brain needs stimulus to begin working just like a computer. This comes from sensors and senses within human body.

The quran cannot be understood till you learn who you are and what are other things that are all around you ie you need to become self aware and aware about other things and that is how you keep on building the bank of information and understanding and call it life experiences. Then you use what you have already learn to figure out any other new thing you come across. So please do think about it and hope it makes some sense to you.

I have always liked Mehdi Hasan. I suggest you guys listen to his debates on youtube.com. You will find many of his debates there. I agree with most of his views in other debates but sometimes he is off from my point of view. But in this world, we all have the right to agree & disagree on views. But I find him very well read and a good orator.

He is an excellent speaker, but lack the fundamental knowledge about the Islam and Islamic Ideology. Therefore, fail to deliver a real concept of Islam and analysis of the current situation in the light of real Islam. Quoting a paid mullah who misguided all was another sign of weak knowledge about the Islam and even the current affairs, as well as a very surface knowledge of the whole scenario. He needs to study a lot to understand what's going on across the glob and who is doing what for the same of what ......
